It's being reported locally that Dennis Seidenberg signed a 4 years for 4 million a year deal today with a no trade clause.

4 more years of the German Machine

I'm waiting for the day Roy spazzes out and throws all the equipment, sticks, bottles, and etc. onto the ice in a fit of rage...

He already got unhinged at game one.

I'm circling the calendar to when the Avs take on the Nucks -- the dirtiest team in the League with now Torts for a coach.

You may as well just pour gasoline over an open bonfire!

I believe Boudreau said he did it in their preseason game as well.

It's still going on too, Boudreau calls Roy bush league, Roy fires back with liar liar pants on fire.

Business as usual. They always fail to appear for the first 5-7 games. Seems they think the league deserves a handicap.

I am sick of them but at least I was spared being there.

Tim Thomas and Florida's shot blocking won them the game.

Mind you, the Miami Panthers have some young studs in that line-up.

I see a bright future for them if they continue to develop. Probably a faster trajectory up than even Denver or Edmonton, IMO.

Timmy has a habit of doing that. Those goals they scored helped though, I'm pretty sure none of them occurred from blocked shots and maybe the box score was incorrect but they didn't credit Timmy with any of the goals, how many did he score?

Apparently Chris Kelly's goal last night was one for the record books. It was the first time in NHL history that a teams first goal of the season came on a penalty shot.

I'm gonna venture that Timmy is gonna blow his top long before that happens, because he is gonna get shelled with that roster.

How crazy is Timmy? He said big government was too big for it's own good. Whats the US government up to right now? Closed for business because they can't afford to fund themselves. Not trying to turn this into a R&P discussion but it's pretty tough to listen to people criticize his prior political rants while the government is shut down.

Dude should have kept his mouth shut and met with the President.
It was not a political event, Timmy turned it into one.

A bad move for Timmy, his teammates, and hockey fans in general.

Beyond any of that as goaltenders go, Tim Thomas is one of the more sane ones. He gave good interviews, was never combative with the media and always tried to inject some humor into his time with reporters. His snub of the White House trip doesn't truly represent how the man actually acts.

You want to see crazy, here you go. Watch for 30-60 seconds, it's oddly hypnotic.

95 to go.

Is Alex Ovechkin back? Will the Leafs regret buying out Grabovski? Will Bernier win the Vezina? Stay tuned.

Third game in four nights to start the season, now five days off. Wacky scheduling to jam in Olympics for Ovechtrick. I'm not even stoked for the Winter Classic this year since Teh Count has diluted the magic with a half dozen outside games and domcha has claimed dibs on a 98 game winning streak.
