Doesn't really bother me to be honest. I never did understand why some loyal fans have to be so sour at bandwagoners...it's just how it goes if a team has some success.

Still, had to laugh at some WGN interviews I saw where people refer to Toews as "Toes".
Isn't that his name?

It's not that hard to pronounce from reading the jersey.....same with Anzee Kopidor and Brad Dotey.

Say, question Waldorf: On the local morning radio talk show, they previewed your Kings and there was some yammering about how Richards should be captain of your team instead of Brown.

I don't think it would happen (never say never), but, would you agree with that move if they did that?

Richards is a giant douche, no way they would give him that team

I was screaming for Brown to be booted from Captain years ago, and for many years.....until he was threatened with a trade, and then played like a man possessed, and then delivered The Cup.

So, I'm cool with Brownie being captain.
He's not my style of captain, as he is VERY understated and quiet, but he was captain when they won The Cup so he can remain.

Richards could make a decent captain, but dude has got to step up this year and light the lamp more often.

Never would have happened if he didn't have his jersey tucked in like that. This is why I'm glad the NHL takes steps to make sure our players are safe.

I think both players have their merits/strengths if given the C.

But, we all know, you want Woytov as the next captain.

Leaves look pretty good so far. Timely scoring. Some toughness. Puck stops when required.

Was somewhat surprised at the relatively lightly attended home opener at The Joe tonight... until I quickly realized we were playing the Calgary Flames of the Eastern Conference. Fawkin' felt like googling all of the unfamiliar faces of the Atlantic Division.

Blackack's in the metrosexual division with e30cabrio. He's dueling with "leading the race for the presidents trophy dom" and "wishing our season would start already me".

I'm sure we'll start 0-3 like always. I tried to remember the last time the Rangers won the first game of the season and can't.

Avs played a decent opener last night. There is so much speed on the team it is crazy. Mackinnon has crazy hands. He had two great setups in the game. Definitely excited for the season with Roy as coach. He definitely brings some fire and gets the guys motivated.

His reaction after Lovejoy knee to knee hit Mackinnon at the end of the game.

Bernier is that good.

Hopefully Frattin steps up and makes the deal worth it.....because Scrivens is sketchy at best.

If Quick goes down, so do the Kings.

...oh and hand over The Cup to the Leafs already!

Thankfully it was only Bruce Boudreau on the other side of that glass.
If it was his Roy's ex-wife, there would have been punches thrown.
