meh....Timmy's mouth....err...twitter is gonna get him in trouble by December, he will melt down...either that or the Panthers will have enough of his sideshow.

....or maybe he got "sane" during his one season off where he found himself.

Isn't it official already that the Rags are mathematically out of the playoffs already?

...considering their epic preseason.

...and just hand the Leafs The Cup already.

The Stanley Cup finals are going to be Thomas' Florida Panthers vs Captain Andrew Ference's Edmonton Oilers

Can someone explain to me how Kessel is worth 8 million a year? What has he accomplished that puts him in that price range?

Holy crap. Are the Leaves crazy?

He's definitely a good scorer, but not @ $8M!

I understand he's a valuable part of the Leafs but when you look at the other 8 million dollar players, they all have some type of award on their resume whether it was a Stanley Cup, a Hart, or a Rocket Richard.

Kessel has the resume of being a great scorer on a crappy team but never the best scorer in the league nor a player who lead his team to the promised land.

Or maybe they were just worried about the money he could make being a designated hitter on an American league team. He's got the skills for it.

Well, that seals the deal!

Clearly $8 mil.... sorry.....$8 million... .....ok...seriously now...$8 million for Phil is worth it, and will bring the Leafs The Cup.

I guess they figured if they don't give him 8 mill a year, Pittsburgh or Philly will.

Once the cap goes back to 70-75 mill it's a non issue. What this means in the interim is bye bye Dion since he's due next year and the money simply isn't there.

Only 97 more wins until Lord Stanley comes home. 98-0 bitches.

Stanley cup run...? Wow, didn't know they were such big Hawks fans.

Entertaining game yesterday. The ceremony was top-notch on how they used the crowd, ice, and etc. Well-done.

And very happy to see B52 score a goal.

^ Ah. Well, goes with the territory of winning. Most people love to flock to winners.

Still, had to laugh at some WGN interviews I saw where people refer to Toews as "Toes".

Cuz, otherwise, to your comment: NOPE. Only in certain cities. Other failed expansion cities can't give away tickets if they tried.
