I debating deleting this thread. If I have to suffer, we should all have to suffer.

If the Hawks, Kings, Pens or Bruins win it all AGAIN this year. This thread is a goner.

San Jose Sharks forward Raffi Torres is scheduled for a disciplinary hearing for his hit on Jarret Stoll of the Los Angeles Kings in Game 1 on Tuesday. The league has offered an in-person hearing, meaning Torres could be suspended for five or more games. He was assessed a minor penalty for charging on the play.

Raffi Torres' annual playoff suspension always seems to be just a matter of time.

This year, it took five games before the itinerant poster boy for NHL recidivism, the doyen of dangerous play, was facing a potentially landmark decision in the area of supplemental discipline, one that could have a significant impact on the San Jose Sharks' playoff hopes.

After Game 1 against the Kings in Los Angeles, Torres flew with Sharks GM Doug Wilson to New York for an in-person meeting with Brendan Shanahan and the NHL's Department of Player Safety. The matter in question: Torres' hard check on Jarret Stoll, his former teammate in Edmonton, late in the second period during this play:

I think the fatigue of the series against the Ducks caught up to your Things. I expect them to be back with a much more complete game for Game 2.

Credit the Hawks for noting this and sending wave after wave against your team. If it were not for Howard, I would expect the score to have been much worse for you.

Seriously starting to question my future in following the sport Jonsei. The pain just isn't worth it.

Look dude. You were bitter that the Leafs didn't make the playoffs...and then, they did.

They also took a HEAVILY favored Bruins team to the brink...even more impressive is they came back from being down in the series.

So, if anything, the fact your team made the playoffs and forced a Game 7 against a heavily-favored opponent should make you happy. Sure, the ending stinks but welcome to sports...and the good news is that there is a new winner next season. And maybe Toronto can be that one.

Wow, the Sharks were in full choke mode tonight after taking a 3-2 lead.

Give the Kings not just a PP...but, a 2-man advantage with 2 minutes left?!??

Quick played periods one and two, while the rest of the team....not so much.

Then the Kings showed up for the 3rd.

Sharks heads are spinning like tops.

Boy the rookie Toffoli is something else!!! This kid is gonna be something else in a year or two.

You'll get over the sting....eventually.

It took a while to get of the sting of McSorely and his curved stick.
Sure it still sucks all the years later, but it works itself out.

Kings never won anything, and now look at 'em.

Leafs first year back in the playoffs...it's something for them to move on from, learn from, and build.

Leafs will be back, and better.

Now what's this curling stuff?......you sit around and watch dudes lift dumbbells over and over again? :theghey:

Game 3 Kings V Sharks is gonna be a doozy!

Sharks don't lose at home.
Sharks have something to prove if they want back into the series.

Spoken like a man who's team has won a Cup in his lifetime and just came off a presidents trophy win after losing only 2 games all year. You don't understand my pain...pain that was made even worse after blowing a 3 goal lead with 10 minutes left in game 7.

Been there, done that:

San Jose Sharks: Kings Blow 4-0 Lead, Lose in OT, Is the Series Over?
from April, 2011.

...and the Sharks ended up winning that series.

...but then look what happened in 2012

He may not but a 39 year old B's fan does. Prior to 2011, the B's never won a cup in my lifetime and prior to them winning the cup I had to watch them be up 3 games to 0 and then lose 3 straight games going to a game 7. In that game 7 we had a 3 goal lead only to let it slip away and lose the game (and the series) 4-3.

I know what it feels like to watch a monumental collapse.
