Sorry Yummy. Just Pop in that VHS of the 11' cup final and you'll feel better. I'd do the same but VCR's didn't exist in 1967.
At least you can't say that a no-name goalie cost the Hawks this series.

Puck luck is a funny thing. Pleasantly surprised at these turn of events. Never would have predicted this after such an inconsistent season and needing to win four straight to make the post-season. I dare say the force is with us.

3 wins in a row needed for the Hawks.
If anyone can do it it's the Hawks...after all, they won 24 in a row, right?

Oh boy.....Sorry, Statler.

That guys is the kiss of death for the PP.

Just look how incredibly awesome and entertaining the Kings PP is this year!!!
Those boys move the puck around quickly, accurately, and get quality shots.

Seriously now.....why the hawks hired Kompon is beyond logic.

...again, Sorry, Statler.

Look what happens when the Kings finally put in 60 minutes in a playoff game!!

Quick is on a completely different level....amazing does not even describe him.
Dude was meh in the regular season, but he sure flipped a switch for the playoffs.

It's alright. Part of the ups and downs to being a sports fan. A true fan lives and dies with his team.

Anyhow, I believe it will be the Wings/Kings for the Western Conference at this point.

And honestly, if your Kings play the way they are capable (i.e. yesterday), Detroit is toast.

Ultimately, all decisions/plays go through Coach Q...so, even if Kompon stunk at PP, it still is on Q for letting it become this putrid. How can a PP unit of Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp, and Keith be this awful?

Anyhow, whatever. I'll still watch the playoffs...Gotta see if the Pens are truly that unstoppable or if they meet their match when a Western Conference team plays them...

Trust me, it can be that bad.

Richards, Carter, Kopitar, Doughty, Voynov......and the Kings still could not score with Kompon at the helm.

Sutter could not get the PP going...Kings even brought in Bernie Nichols to try to get it going.

Kompon is the place where the PP goes to die.

The sooner the Hawks figure this out, the better.

^ Well, I would not be surprised if heads rolled if the Hawks fail to advance. Let's see what happens.

I would not mind a shake-up of that core to get some help at center. The trend for all good playoff teams is depth at C...Look at your Kings as an example.

Here we go again

For those living under a rock (and we know local news casts in SoCal do in fact live under rocks) Willie Mitchell has been out the entire season...not to mention it's more than likely his career is over.

Knowing the above....watch the video below:

A bit of a disappointing result - not unexpected - but still a little disappointing.

The Sens pulled off so many miracles this season we've kinda come to expect it. But,
the Pens are just a really good team - especially when they're firing on all cylinders.

Congrats Pens fans!

Thanks man, they definitely are firing on all cylinders right now which is all I could hope for. Everyone here respects all the Sens did this season, they definitely overcame a LOT of adversity this season with all the injuries, and knocking out the Habs in convincing fashion. It definitely was an entertaining series all around.

And in the East, there were two.

Pittsburgh and Boston was what most predicted anyhow for the Eastern crown. Hard-fought. But, Pens in 6. If Pittsburgh loses, wow...that would be epic failboat.

Toews goal off Howards mask was sort of hilarious for some reason, a little bit of insult to injury I suppose. Hawks deserved the win, they totally out played the wings.

About time Chicago got some "puck luck"...so many goalposts in Game 3 and 4.

Toews should've had another goal too but the ref blew the whistle way too fast.
