No need to protest, Al MacInnis is retired, no one uses wooden sticks anymore, you're safe as long as composite sticks aren't banned under the new CBA.

Going out on a limb and predicting playoff hokey in Toronto this spring. Especially if they land Luongo. Not a huge fan but he's good enough to get them there.

Going to miss PK Subban on Sportnet. Has a bright future in broadcasting after he's done playing.

I recall loving the last shortened season. They should do this every 7 or 8 years. Regular season is too long.

...And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To fans from one to ninety-two,
Although its been teased many times, many ways,
A very Merry Hockey to you

To help defray the cost of this lame lockout, the count would like to extend a warm welcome to the two newest expansion teams:

Atlanta Thrashers 3.0 and the Jacksonville Juggernots who will be playing at the new couldntcareless.com arena.

Would love to see Holland try to scoop him up, it would be another feather in the cap of the best GM in hockey.

You either need to redo your scouting on PK Subban or look up the definition or "ornery".

He's a flopping diving pansy turtle.

It's about time they got this done. It will be interesting to see if there are any players that just stay where they are instead of coming back to the NHL.

Any news on when they will release the modified schedule so I can see what if any local games I can attend?

Also they better lower the price on the NHL Package because of this.

Just when everyone thought the Leafs would be given The Cup by default when the season was to be cancelled, The Count came and took it away at the last moment.

Poor Leafs...the league really does hate you.

....and to add insult to injury: You guys are gonna land LUUUUUongooooo!

So, dommity-dom...question: If Louuuuuu could not deliver a Cup and get his head straightened in Vancity behind a cheap but very stacked team...what makes you think he can survive in the pressure-cooker that is Toronto and behind a very so-so squad...?

If I were you, I would hope Burke is not enough to give up too much for Louuuuu.

Season comes back just in time for Kopitar to wreck his knee.

Hopefully it is as they say a light sprain, and he is back right around the start of the season.

Personally, no jinx intended, I think the Kings are going to be scary if they have no hangover.

Outstanding on D, decent scoring, great size (and knows how to use it), and good goaltending...what else do you need?

Rangers don't go west at all. Furthest west is Colorado. Kings come to N.Y.

Odd.

Not odd at all, due to the shortened season, they have to drop most of the West games in order to fit all the division/conference match-ups

My powers are not to the point where I can jinx a sports team.

Thank God Moog put that last comment in red......

I think they're going to have a difficult time booking arena too. I've got to think that all of them have started thinking "no hockey" and booked as many available dates as possible.

On any given year Staples Center is booked nearly every day.
Mix in a lockout year, and well....it gets messy.

Word on the street is the Kings will raise their championship banner on an afternoon game on the Jan 19.

I made that comment after getting off a 15hr flight, so I reserve the right to retract that post after the jet lag wears off. With two boys under age 5, my life is not quite as NHL centric as it used to be and courtesy of the count, I only get to see Eastern Conf Orig 6 teams at home once every other year if we're lucky.

He's a flopping diving pansy turtle.
Well, he doesn't strike me as a dirty player and he certainly is not an enforcer. Chirpy, annoying? and the Wings need a bit more of that. The fact that you and blackack both dislike him should probably make me like him more. Under the right coach, I think his game would flourish and Hockeytown certainly has no tolerance for flopping diving pansy turtles.

My last trip to Montreal was non-hockey related:

Hoping to convince my director of player development to add a new centerman(or woman) to my left and right wingers!
