So Boston/Washington, predictions?

I honestly don't care, I hate them both semi equally although hating Boston is part of a New Yorker's DNA.

Lundqvist, Rinne, Quick Vezina finalists

Teams don't have success without high-quality goaltending, so it's no surprise the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators have done so well this season.

The Rangers' Henrik Lundqvist, the Kings' Jonathan Quick and the Predators' Pekka Rinne have been named finalists for this year's Vezina Trophy, awarded "to the goalkeeper adjudged to be the best at his position" as voted by the general managers of each of the 30 clubs.

The winner will be announced at the 2012 NHL Awards Show, June 20 at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas.

How about this:

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/hoc...dent-in-game-6

Rangers coach John Tortorella said "No comment" in a conference call Tuesday about the incident between Ottawa wing Milan Michalek and defenseman Dan Girardi during Game 6, as well as Senators wing Chris Neil's warning to defenseman Michael Del Zotto.

In the third period of the Rangers' 3-2 win, CBC footage showed Michalek appearing to kick Girardi twice in the fracas in front of the net that led to Ottawa's controversial second goal. Players have been suspended for similar actions this season.

Following the game, Neil, whose hit gave Brian Boyle a concussion in Game 5, was not pleased with Del Zotto after the Rangers defenseman hit Neil in the third period. It took Neil a few minutes to get up before he skated off on his own.

"I'm sure I'll catch him with his head down one of these times," Neil said according to reports.

Seems like he is saying he intends to injure.
Oh .. c'mon.

1) Shanahan looked at the tape of the Michalek/Girardi "incident" (after Torts
complained to the league) and declared there was no kick, so no hearing.

2) Del Zotto pasted Neil pretty damn good! It was a clean hit - no whining
from Neil. I think he was just reminding us of a favorite biblical passage:

"As ye sow - so shall ye reap!"

Sounds like whining when he says he will get even.

He hits anything that moves and many that don't. Kinda shocking he does not expect the favor be returned.

You're reading into things that aren't there like a Rangers fan (not necessarily a Rangers fan but an opposing teams fan). When I read into things as a neutral fan I see it as him looking for an opportunity to deliver a bone crushing legal check.

He never says anything about intentionally trying to injure anyone, he's just saying if he has the opportunity to check you when you had your head down he's going to do it.

Considering how he has played saying that without meaning he will get even/hurt him is like saying I'll be converting oxygen into CO2 all day.

Can't believe that was a penalty. Unbelievable that was a penalty in game 7 with 2:30 left of a tie game. Ref should have his stripes removed.

Yeah, cause that's right up there with cross checking someone in the throat and shouldering someone in the head when they don't have the puck.

You must not really be a die hard hockey fan.
....and it was 19 years ago.

Ask dom why he is still upset about a non-call high stick from 19 years ago.
Heck....ask all of the peeps in Toronto about it.

I am sorry, I looked at the chart backwards seeing his first year as last..

So sorry.

1988–89 Los Angeles Kings
1989–90 Los Angeles Kings
1990–91 Los Angeles Kings
1991–92 Los Angeles Kings
1992–93 Los Angeles Kings

And why are you upset over it?

Because Brashear? And if so he deserved what he got.

I guess your video explains it. I don't hang on Kings losses. Was the stick illegal? If so he deserved to be penalized for it.

I don't think after he had been using it the whole series and got a goal was the time to penalize for it but it happened, over a decade ago. Time to move on.

You see dom.....take the enlightened path......let go......no longer do you need to be upset by stuff from 19 years ago......listen to the wisdom of Mr. Angeleno (from THE CITY)
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UqGFFEc6Bng" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I think I just heard dom's head explode.

....and for the record: I still don't see a high stick infraction in that vid

Don't start, Statler.

I feel like the black bird in Angry Birds when you mention his name.

Stupid Larry Robinson....How 'bout you call a time out after the 2nd goal....or maybe the 3rd unanswered goal?

Waldorf, that was the game where Storr got plowed over and was never the same afterwards, right?
