Kinda interesting how such a team most saw as underachieving is now playing perfectly in the playoffs.

Their penalty killing is fun to watch - I love how they attack when they are a man down......wish the friggin Rangers would do that (they did Game 6 vs Ottawa but thats it) more often instead of just letting the other team set up and block shots

Superstition in sports is kinda silly.

Don't be scared to believe or say you believe.

That doesn't mean you won't get stressed...

Please do!

I think my beliefs are only the following:

- LeHeat are unbeatable
- Apple is greater > *
- A serviceable goalie is doable to win a Cup versus Vezina winner
- The Blues and Preds are not who we thought they were
- Pagani makes the greatest product except, when compared to Apple

Next?

Internet must not be as big as I thought.

The bigger thing for me is, an ungutted team like the Bruins got ousted in the first round.......................by the Caps - the annual Easter Conference chokers.

Ooooooooooo black label...did that hurt?

The team wasn't gutted but it certainly was broken down and trying run with many missing parts.

This isn't the same choking Caps team either, they are coached by someone who understands defense and has the balls to sit their star player when he's a liability. I don't think the Caps are done yet this year.

At least the B's won't have to completely rebuild like the Hawks did, oh yeah and they have top notch goaltending by the bowlful for many years to come.

Awesome. Glad your team is great. I still don't know if losing to the Caps with the great goaltending you speak of backs it up. But, hey...your team.

Either Holtby's 15 minutes of fame is running a little long or he's top notch as well we just didn't know the full results yet.

I dunno...I'm ALMOST inclined to think the only curse in sports are with the Cubs.

But, even then...that's reaching. Curse <> incompetence...Unless it's the curse that cursed the team to be forever incompetent?

Does anyone know what they did? It must have been pretty big to suspend 2 of your top scorers when you are down 0-2 in a best of 7 series. I'm going to guess they barebacked a transvestite hooker in their hotel room, I would hope that's a violation of team rules.

They broke curfew...but, I think there is also a deeper-rooted issue. Their play since the start of the series against Phoenix have been awful.

Then again, the Preds should've known that. Both players have a history of being very selfish.

Hey Yummy, I just pent about 20 minutes listening to sports radio where the conversation revolved around trading Thomas to Chicago. Now it's just sports radio but Thomas didn't do himself any favors with his Tweets and political rants and he's a 5 mil cap hit in his last year. We also have Tuukka and Khudobin waiting in the wings.

While it think it may be time to move on as he's getting older and we have very capable replacements, something tells me that any team that gets Thomas will have a man on a mission (once again) to prove himself to his doubters and will see some absolutely incredible goaltending.

It's just banter. I am very interested to see what the Hawks do to retool. While they had an excuse last year to lose in the first round after losing nearly half the Cup-winning team, this year, no excuses.

It's a chicken-and-the-egg thing. While Thomas will be a nice upgrade over Crawford, they still need to solve the #2 C issue and getting an adequate #4/#5 D-man.

Also, Chicago needs to decide what type of team they are. Continue to try to be a high-scoring team or become a more defensive-oriented squad?

He engaged in a bit of volleying as he tried to ascertain if the question was legitimate or of the reporter was trying to be funny. When he was told it was a sincere query, the fiery coach fired back.

“I’m not going to give you much information,” he said. “Some of you guys sit here and tell me I’m curt or whatever. I’m not going to have a staring contest. If you don’t ask me questions, I’ll just leave. So that’s the way it is. I’m sorry I’m not a guy that wants to converse about everything during the playoffs. I’m not.”

I dunno...It HAS to be. He wasn't this when he was commentating on TSN.

He must be doing this to redirect the attention from his team. I mean, if it works, more power to him?

Was it an act when he blamed the Devils?

He is always blaming everyone else.

Now he's out against the press, like it's somehow their fault that they are asking him questions.

He always plays the victim.

I am not Tortorella's biggest fan, I liked Renney very much and hated to see him go but they sucked under him.

I agree he could be less adversarial with the media and let them do their jobs but he must have a reason for the way he treats them. He can get up in front of the media and bite the head off every chicken in THE CITY as long as he keeps them winning as far as I am concerned.

Torts has a cup and an Adams and has gotten us further than anyone since 94 so he must be doing something right.

What does that say about their character? They can't avoid that for just 2 months? They can't respect a team mandate?

I read they were partying it up 45 minutes away from the team hotel.

There is so much wrong about that. If not even Trotz, who IMO is one of the best coaches in the NHL, can bring out the hard work and heart in these two, they are beyond help.

Go back to Russia.

I assume the hotel is near the Arena which without traffic is at least 30 minutes from Scottsdale.

It speaks volumes towards their lack of character.

Being out at 4am isn't really a big deal. They don't have a 7to3 job or even a 9to5 job. They play at 7 or 8 at night. They might have to be there four hours before game time.

Being out getting plowed is something else, but not just being out at a bar, hell it's the only thing open.

They have a responsibility to the team to be focused on the playoffs and not be f*cking off (imho) at any time during the season. they get millions for 6 months a year.

If I had the opportunity to be in their shoes all I would do 24/7 180 days a year would be related to being the best I can be. They can party all summer long if they like AFTER the season ends.

IMHO.
