The sizzle in the Steak
Sure it's pure fantasy ratings, but the Hawks can move from a #27 rated goaltender to a top 10 rated goaltender by acquiring Luongo.
...just say'n.

Hawks need quality goatending....they will pursue this in the offseason......don't kid yourself.
Luongo will be considered.

And dude...before you take what I'm saying about Luongo and then doing some weird deduction to think I'm saying Chicago does NOT need to have better goaltending, then, please stop.
Luongo is not the answer for Chicago at his price. If the Hawks decide to address their goaltending in the off-season, great. But, it won't be Lou in a Hawks jersey at that salary weight.
And right now, while Chicago can use better goaltending, they need better play from their players...they've been deep-sixed by poor decision-making in the Yotes' and their own zone which has led to turnovers and goals. Let's not forget some horrible officiating.

Train ticket to New York City = $20
Tickets to Game 5 = $280
Getting drunk as hell and being thrown out of the bar after getting so pissed off that you spent that much money to see the Rangers get shut out = priceless
ugh...too old for this, takes me like 2 days to get over a hangover nowadays. Go Rangers! Let's finish it off in 7!

...and go Sens!!!!

I can see Chicago perhaps pursing Bernier or similar. Dunno. We'll see if they are ousted by the Yotes on what happens.
Crawford was decent last year and then became inconsistent this year...there are some insiders who think he just has a case of Howard-ism and that this year was just a sophomore jinx.

Crawford does not have it. IMHO. The Hawks will be wasting valuable possible Cup winning years on him if they wait for him to turn it around.
Bernier? Maybe.
He won't win you The Cup the first year, but give him a couple of years and he can contend for you.
Hawks have a few year window to try for The Cup again.....Luongo is good fit to get you there.

So, do you guys think Giroux is as good as the press is hyping him or did the Pens awful D and Fleury's struggles just make him look good?
I know he's good but it seems like they are making him the second coming of Sid.

First of all NOBODY in LA besides the cities clown for a mayor calls them self an "angelino"
You can't be serious about that statement.
Secondly nobody in LA gives a crap about NY. We can care less.
We neither love nor hate NY....and FWIW...the city of L.A. is a cesspool.
Why am I rooting for the Sens?
...perhaps because Torts is a "play the victim jackass"....perhaps because I'd love to see Richards go down in the first round......or perhaps it's because it's always great to see the low rank take out the high rank team.
...and you are pulling for the NHL Yotes?!?!?!
The sizzle in the Steak
Best O luck to the Hawks tonight!

Thanks. I wonder which Hawks team shows up...the one that wants to put on a show for the home crowd which plays to the Yotes' plans...or the one that plays patiently and plays a simple north-south game?
If it is the former, Yotes and Preds in a match of identical teams!

Neil is the dirtiest player in the league.
Pushes Lundqvist out of the net and kicks it in. Bulls*it goal.
And it does not matter that they cheated.
Back to NY.

OTTAWA -- New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist unloaded on the officiating in an uncharacteristic rant that left him seething following his team's 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators on Monday night.
Trailing 3-1 late in the third, the Senators pulled within a goal with 38.4 seconds remaining after a lengthy review upheld the official's on-ice call of a good goal following a frantic scramble in front. Lundqvist felt Senators winger Chris Neil interfered with him on the play and attempted to kick the puck past the goal line. The goal was ultimately credited to Jason Spezza.
Lundqvist called the ruling an "absolute joke."
"When it's goalie interference and a kick and they still call it a goal, that scares me," he told reporters after making 25 saves en route to the team's series-tying victory.
The 30-year-old netminder also hinted at collusion in comments that were similar to those of coach John Tortorella after the Winter Classic. Tortorella was fined $30,000 by the league for his remarks.
"Someone wanted them back in the game, for sure," said Lundqvist.
Tortorella, who has been docked $50,000 in total for critical comments about the officiating this season, declined to comment when asked about the ruling after the game.
"I'll take the next question."

3-0 for Yotes. Over for Chicago. No chance.
Waldorf, I wish your Kings luck against the Blues. At this point, it's just for me...very interesting playoffs so far with the remaining teams.

It's a defensive league...Bettman wants more goals? Nope. All about defense. Yotes, Preds, Kings, and Blues all beat out teams with better offenses...
Anyhow, congrats to the Yotes. Now excuse me while I go somewhere.

Anyhow, the one positive with my team being ousted is that I won't have an ulcer no more. Watching playoff hockey is not for the faint of heart.
I bet you dom never has hockey-induced stress.

Playing the what-if game is nice, I suppose. But, listening in on Coach Q's presser now and I have to completely agree: the turning point of the Hawks/Yotes series was when Hossa was taken out and there was no-call...

The officiating in the NHL this year especially but for some time has been, lets say unimpressive, to be kind.
The no call in the Hossa attack is glaring.
