The TV scheduling has had several issues here with all the channels and oddness. The first Ranger OT game did not return after the break between the 3rd & OT. They went to the Coyote game on both NHL & NBC Sports.

Note to Vancouver, you can't score points no matter how good your dives are. I love that LA made them pay quickly for it. Let the riots begin!

Ugh, usually dislike conducting a postmortem when the body is still warm, but I'm so pissed, lets do it anyway.

As the hockytalk veterans know, I didn't raise one peep about our record breaking home winning streak this year. It didn't and it doesn't mean squat. The danger was that it lulled management/coaching staff into sleep, thinking Detroit had a better team than we really did. Obviously the injury bug hit all at once and at a bad time in the season, and I still don't think Howard was 100% with the nagging groin.

Key lesson hopefully learned, when you have cap space at the deadline, use it. Now I'm walking down the path of overused cliches: having skill is great, puck control is nifty, but when the playoffs roll around WILL TRUMPS SKILL. The Wings simply haven't had enough grit in recent years to impose their will on other teams when defense tightens up.

Lets see if Lidstrom will come back for one more year (probably), Stuart is gone (Cali) and Homer should retire. Should be interesting to see if we can make a run at Sutter and Parise as we have the space and both would look great in the winged wheel.

Could go on and on, but talk is cheap. Heartbreak and tears await 14 more teams soon enough...

If Holland is the genius we all think he is now's the time to prove it.

Shame to go out so early since it was such a great season, but 3-0 is just too steep of a hill to climb. Hate losing to the douchebags in orange, but their goaltending won't take them very far. Bearzgalov didn't steal a game, but when you have 40 blocked shots, you're not going to win many games. No sour grapes here, just wish they could have forced a game 7.

I am in your shoes with the same hope.

ALTHOUGH it is very much like the bandaid conundrum. Pull it off fast and end the pain or slow and prolong it?

I have always been a pull it off fast fast man.

NaNa, HeyHey Goodbye Penguins! Flyers finally put together a full team effort for 60 minutes and get some needed time to rest. It's on to the semifinals!

Pens and Flyers both played a douchebags series.

Crosby didn't look like Crosby of old. No doubt the kids still needs time to get back on track. The off season will do him good.

When the king of cheapshots Malkin hit Crosby, Crosby really never came back from it.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9ivdVRpEpto" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Karma: When a cheapshot artist takes out the best player on his own team.

Goaltending in this series was absolutely horrible too.

So, if this was the last we saw of Louuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu in a Nucks jersey...I wonder where he'll go.

And a pretty deep team in the Nucks may get some nice returns for Louuuuuuuu. But, I wonder if Gillis is going to blow up the ship after repeated failboats to get the Cup?

Karma am a female-dawg when you play the game repeated the wrong way (i.e. dives, biting, hair-pulling, cheapshots)...

Strange Pens series. That 3-0 blown lead in game 1 was the beginning of the end.

D didn't show up, and as a result, fleury shit the bed. Malkin/Crosby/Neal had a very sub-par series. The only one who really showed up was Staal...

Oh well, there's always next year. I'm already over the loss. The top 4 teams in the east could all lose in round 1, how crazy is that??

exactly what I said when they showed the stat on the TV. blocked shots were like 12-38 in favor of the flyers at one point.

I think its pretty obvious.

No chance of nice returns, Teams know the Nucks are desperate to get out of that deal. Even though its only a 5.3 mill cap hit. Then again, I'm sure BB will be glad to overpay.

Hawks desperately need a good goaltender.
If they have Hossa's contract, why not Luuuuuuuuuu's

El douche will go to the nucks for Luuuuuuuu.

Nah. Hawks fix up their defensive coverage and they are fine. A very good goalie is great for them but that's the least of Chicago's issues.

The sane believe that strong goaltending is where you start for a strong team.

Okay...so, taking your logic, the Hawks trade for an expensive and flawed goalie?

Wow, you still drunk from celebrating your first series win in a bazillion years?

The guy the Hawks have in net right now has more wins than Louuuuuu so far in the playoffs. And better numbers. So, no thanks. And as you would say: put down the bong.

Let's not forget how mentally/emotionally weak Louuuuuuuu is.

Dude, we really going down this route again? Pick on a team that has worse goaltending instead...like the Flyers and Pens. Count me out today.

Yup, your goaltending is solid! You don't need any help between the pipes.

There are PLENTY of teams that will want Luuuuu.
....and don't be surprised when your Hawks are mentioned.
