So, Lucic's hit on Miller is unbannable but Shaw's is...????

And sorry to the Bruins' fans...Lucic's hit on Miller was way worse.

Whatever...naturally, The Count takes exception when anyone runs a player from his team, the Yotes. I get it.

^^ You are correct, it sucks. The inconsistencies are maddening.

...and all this from the league and guy who said this year would end this sort of stuff.

Newsflash: It's worse than ever before.

Dude, I'm as floored as when Weber got the fine. Shaw's suspension makes absolutely no sense. The guy didn't even intend to plow Smith...who was FINE afterwards (there is suspicion he did some acting to get Shaw the game misconduct).

Weber's hit on Zetterberg was clearly malicious! I do not understand this at all. Wow.

Again, hey...it makes sense why The Count wants his team to win the series. It's his team after all...and well, Shaw's the great little sparkplug on their checking line and we want the Yotes to score more.

If they suspend Brown for his hit on Sedin, I'm officially changing this thread to "Wrestling Talk". It's no longer hockey.

So, that means...Asham will get the death penalty and get traded to the Leaves as punishment and be forced to sign a lifetime contract for his heinous act if Shaw got THREE for unintentional contact?

And Neal? Life without parole and traded to Columbus.

D. Sedin took to the ice today and practiced with the Nucks.

Word is that he took ZERO hits.

Whether he will play tomorrow is a "game day decision" based on how he feels.

I don't care either way.

The Nucks are a mentally weak team...Kesler's showing he's the most overrated trophy winner since Jim Carey won the Vezina in 96.

I think it's very comparable. Keep your head up.

Hope Hossa is ok, though...

Sure...except Torres hit Hossa way after the puck left the guy's stick. Torres also left his feet and aimed his shoulder directly at the guy's head.

But, no worries...even if I see it as a heinous hit, the League won't suspend anyone from the Phoenix Bettmans.

If the Hawks are eliminated, I know where the turning point was. Who knows what the result would've been if Torres was thrown out and Phoenix had to play with a shortened bench as well...?

Now excuse me while I go to town on the hotel's mini-bar because of the add-insult-to-injury result I just witnessed in the Hawks/Bettmans tilt.

Yeah, same thing except for being 12 years apart, separated by a work stoppage and new rules, 12 years of research on head injuries, the League's mission to cut down on hits to the head to eliminate head injuries, several autopsies on players who have had many head injuries showing severe trauma to the brain and a new disciplinarian handing out more severe punishments then we previously saw.

But yeah, it's the exact same thing. Put down the bong that you smoke Neals jockstrap through and try to look at it objectively.

Oh yeah, using Lindros being hit in the head as justification for Neals actions is about the most idiotic argument ever put forth in Hockey talk. You know, because Lindros had a long career that wasn't plagued and cut short by concussions.

Maybe Crosby needs to be put down for good because he "didn't keep his head up" before the you understand.

Those hits are not the same. Stevens never left his feet and the puck was only inches away from Lindros' stick.

But I'd expect no more than 1 game for Torres, even though that's exactly the type of hit the NHL said it wanted to get rid of last year.

I don't know, he's not a brand name player. Brand name players get away with 1 game or a $2500 fine. Torres is a bit of a known thug, I'm guessing 2-4.

I don't know why I blamed Neal for the hit on Hossa, I shouldn't type before I've had my coffee. Remove Neal, insert Torres.

Seems to me the fact four officials completely missed the call and Hossa was removed on a stretcher and that Torres is a thug and not a name player should equal a hefty suspension and max (low) fine.

I am certain he will get an all expenses paid trip to Epcot and a hardy handshake based on what has happened during the safety is our goal bs tour.

He left the hospital but who knows if he's back for the playoffs.

What makes it brutal is that if the officials threw out Torres, Phoenix would've had to play with a shortened bench too and who knows if they would've come back from being down in the game...

Yeah that really is a shame. I did go out and watch the hit, and that definitely was nasty. Hope he gets a suspension, but the way things are going, he'll probably get a $2500 fine

I wasn't comparing the Neal hit to the Stevens hit.

I compared the torres hit to the stevens hit.

The $2,500 fine is the max fine by the current CBA. That will get revised for the next agreement.

Torres should get minimum 5 games.

Hossa did not have the puck.
