When Dion Phaneuf is your best defenseman 45 shots isn't actually that bad.

And never mind October. Until the Pens get past the first round with that start studded lineup none of these games matter for them.

And no I don't really care, it's October. Pens are playing dominant in all facets, just can't score goals right now. It happens

The quotable: Darryl Sutter

Last night was Kings Legends Night: Jay Wells

On memories of playing against Jay Wells:
Yeah, he put some knots in my head a few times. Quite a few times.

What do expect from a fan of a team who thinks hockey games only last 50 minutes?

Two blatant spelling errors and some wrong math in the same post, I'm really starting to worry domcha has fallen off the wagon guys.

Let's all chip in for his rehab. :gheyhug:

You mean we all chip in some cash and buy him a nice Bruins jersey and try to help him kick his deadly leaf habit and completely rehabilitate him? Or are you saying we should turn him on to something that won't ruin his life quite as much like heroin or krokodil?

Another disappointing home opener in the books. In their defense Budaj was a freaking machine.

Well then the Pens will revert back to no defense.
Scuds WAS your defense.

I don't think the Flower's stats in regular season was ever turdage...it's the playoffs of the last couple of seasons where he made himself a prime candidate to play for Chicago.

Still trying to figure out if the Avs are for real this season or going to disappoint me in the end. So far I am having a hard time not getting excited about what just a change with Sakic and Roy in charge has done.

^^ Well if they play 500 for the rest of the season, they'll make the playoffs.
So, you have that going for ya.

Well, we're almost through a month...and so, one month can be a reasonable barometer of a team. It's quite likely the Avs are not going anywhere barring some monumental collapse.

Definitely the surprise team of the year so far. I don't recall seeing any pre-season previews with them being predicted to clinch a playoff spot.

Looks like it's a 2-team race for #1 with Edmonton/Buffalo...

I think 95 points will clinch it for a berth.

The East...probably a few points less.

He was a big piece of what we were missing in the playoffs, but we have like 8 D-men right now, so at least we have depth. Fleury is still looking great, since it's the regular season

Pretty good game, I was happy to have a lead first for a change. Shame it was short lived.

I was also enjoying the audible Ranger fan presence.

Soooo glad to have Hagelin back!

You might be right about this.

I'm also now starting to believe Brian Burke was on to something when he made that infamous Phil Kessel trade. Don't look now but Phil is a pretty damn good player who's been near the top of the scoring stats for a couple of years now.

Can someone recommend a good psychiatrist?
