Yeah I don't like these large breaks at all. I don't get it. Especially when I think Colorado's next 24 games are every other night or something like that. We have already had a 5 day and a 4 day break so far this year. They should be spread out more.

Yeah, the Pens just had 4 games in 6 days, then 4 days off, it really makes no sense, but sadly, it depends on arena schedules and tv schedules. It was way worse last year with the shortened season, I just want some hockey dammit

I'll jump on "the scheduling sux" bandwagon. Too many long breaks followed by back to back games or 3 games in 4 nights. It's a feast or famine season.

BTW, what's the deal with Quick? I have him on my roster and he's a dud esp. stat-wise.
I picked him up in the 2nd round and he's been awful.
Waldorf, go visit Quick and ask him why he's not playing like the $$$$ goalie that he is.

They play to the level of their opponents: Beat the Sharks, the bed with the Preds.
Defense is not gelling yet with Mitchell back...he's a bit rusty.
Regehr is off his game...if there was any real good game to be had.
Team misses Scuds.
Offense just got rolling and now Carter & Stoll are out.....possibly Greene out with injury on Defense as well.
Check in at the beginning of December...perhaps the news will be better.
Meanwhile, Frattin is still playing like a Leaf.
I feel the need...
Looks like Detroit has the best mayor of both of you and domcha's clown cities.

...meanwhile back in Hockeytown, imjo257 is hating on the Wings for no apparent reason and giving back rubs to Jim Nill during his lunch break.

Idiot fan in Chicago grabs Pardy's helmet when he got knocked through the glass by a terrific Bollig hit...
Then, as he's holding the glass (good thing) for the fans, some other idiot fan pours beer on him.

The sizzle in the Steak
I went undercover at the Ponda Center on 11/6 to go to the game and ask Duck fans various questions concerning hockey in general, their team and the Kings; they did not disappoint me in what I was looking for, (I did not even tell my friends I was with I was doing this because I know for a fact I would have started laughing when I looked at them).
Do not get me wrong, there were knowledgeable fans but there were some not so hockey savvy fans that were talked to as well.
I told people I was a new hockey blogger who went by the name The Ugly Duckling and I was trying to get the view of the fans. These are just a few of my favorites, more next trip behind the Orange Curtain.
Upon approaching a group of five college age males I introduced myself and asked the following question: “How many teams has Teemu Selanne played for? After asking me if there was a prize involved I told them I would buy a beer for the one who gave me the correct answer. After deliberating for some time, one of them stepped forward and said, “I got this, it’s a trick question. Selanne has been a Duck his whole career”. I told him he was wrong and told the gent that if he could name two of the teams he has played for, I’d still get him that beer. Again, he thought he had it, and used some logic. “Selanne is a foreign name, so that makes him Canadian, I’m going with that team in Ottawa and the Oilers”. I thanked him and sent them on their way.
Next up was a threesome of ladies in their twenties and they got this relatively easy question, “the Ducks are currently celebrating their 20th anniversary, which year did they join the league?” Right away the one female in the center says, “I’m no math cadet but 20 years ago would make that sometime in the 1980’s since we are now in the 2000’s”.
After a good laugh I moved on to another couple which happened to be the people I ended up sitting next to at the game!!!
A man and woman were walking by and asked what I was doing, after telling them my Ugly Duckling story the man was confident he could answer just about any hockey related question about the Ducks and the Kings, (he wore a Duck jersey) so I gave him the choice, and he picked Ducks. So I asked him, “what year did the Ducks win the Cup? With no hesitation he said, “2005”!!! I asked him if he was sure and he stuck with his answer. The game was about to start and we both realized we needed to get to our seats, which were right next to each other. I looked at him and asked if the answer still stood, it was still 2005; up until the moment I pointed out the banner to him. In which he replied, “that’s right, we lost to the Rangers that year then beat the Devils in 2007”. Thank you sir, thank you.

Going to go out on a fairly strong limb here and guess that the answers wouldn't have been a whole lot better over at Staples.... Sorry Moogelino, but chances are there aren't many hockey knowledgeable fans in Southern Cal or the US in general. Besides, Boston, NY, Detroit, Minny and maybe a couple of others, I'm guessing all hockey related questions would be answered in an equivalently stupid fashion. Don't hate them for being stupid about hockey, just be thankful they're there and keeping the game afloat in the US.

Duck fans are made up of dumb south-bay Orange county peeps.
Like Angel fans. They are know nothing fair weather band wagoners.
Hence why they never sell-out games....no die-hard base.
Ducks are a joke in SoCal...and for good reason.
