Hey guys, will a mid muffler delete possibly cause you to fail emissions? What's the sound like?

im guessing the mid muffler on your car isnt even a muffler but a resonator.. if its a resonator then all its going to do is make the exhaust alittle louder.. might add a few ponies too so it wont cause an emission issue.. if your car was built after 1996 they only do ODBII tests by checking the sensors and making sure you dont have a false come back..

Exactly what bluecarbonfiber said. Mufflers do what the name implies and that is to muffle the exhuast. Nothing more to it so you should pass emission no probs..


Min the car looks good... I wouldnt mind a daily beater like that lol....

K-Sport Coilovers

Its been raised 1" all the way from the lowest point.
Front fender liner is rubbing and Tanabe piping is scraping on speed bumps.
Goint to be raising the rears about 0.25~0.5" in order to clear the exhaust piping.

i bought the sueded interior parts from craigslist for $90. it was for 240sx hatchback so i only used rear seat, visor, and glove box that are interchangeable with the coupe. surprisingly trunk carpeting fitted pretty good too.

Still can't believe I was banned by that pussy mod. All I did was stick up for myself on a personal attack which was completely uncalled for. Glad I don't have a 3G yet and have to deal with all the little girls on that side.

to tell you the truth, i dumped $4g past three months on the 240

interior spray paint won't make it sticky. they turn little crispy but that goes away too after daily use.

That mod too..finally closed the thread which is what he shoulda done before it got outta hand..it was easy to see it was going there way before he did closed it. Kyle and Chris should be coming back..dunno why they would get banned for life for what they said. They should only be gone as long as I was. Hopefully they'll chime in here soon...

Vigor66: Mid muffler deletes won't cause you to fail emissions, however; don't remove cats and watch your DB level because they can fail you for being too loud. Although a simple mid muffler delete shouldn't be loud enough.

Finally landed on a new car, Acura RDX. So working with Tonkin right now they are being their typical selves and not giving me a fair discount. We'll see what happens. That will replace the TSX. Dunno if I am gonna part out or just trade it and be done. Depends on the deal.

I actually finally test drove the RDX a few weeks ago out at tonkin then again AofP. Nice ride and the turbo response is pretty good. Got alot of pep in its step for being an SUV.Two thumbs up from me lol..

wow, so I was requested to take last minute product photos at work (which the assholes don't pay me for) so I am like ok. Where's the camera? oh that's right boss thinks the office camera is her personal camera and wont bring it in. So I get told to bring mine in. finally decided to change my bulbs yesterday. thought i'd do it before they go out. anyway, thought i'd take out the front cover cause i knew i couldn't fit my bear claws in the cracks. no biggie right? few clips and screws. come to find out i had to take off washer tank on passenger side and intake resonator on drivers side! wtf! plus on top of that it rained twice! took me two hours! any, looks good thoe. put on 6000k.

side note.. got my bent wheel straightened on friday from when my wife ran over the log on I5 a month ago.. looks great!! i give the guy A+ on straightening it even though it took all day and half of another.. cost for it was 125 on a 19inch rim if anyone was curious.

Where did you go to get your wheel fixed? I need to get the bent wheel on my son's car fixed, but don't want to spend a lot.

Changed oil on my car yesterday afternoon and replaced the foam filter on the CT Icebox with the K&N again. I swap the filters every oil change and clean them. I need a K&N cleaning kit for next oil change.

Oil looked pretty good for being in there 7400 miles. I used M1 5w-20 and an M1 EP filter, as usual. Autozone had a nice special last week - 5 quarts of M1 + M1 EP filter for $35. Good deal now that the filters are $13. Car is happy so I'm happy.

Way too much for my kid's wheel. I could buy two used wheels for his Grand Prix for that price. Don't laugh - I got a good deal for the GP. It's a good first car for him - I like that it's big, heavy, underpowered, and that 3.8l V6 is bulletproof.

i would of suggested a 1986 ford taurus haha its slow, a heavy brick and if you treat it right it will last... unlike me who was revving the car in nuetral and shifting to drive to burn some rubber instead i burned the tranny haha

but i can say it did take a beating from me for the most part and lasted.. it was my first car what would anyone expect?
