Saw that new water park you all have down there, i smell a road trip coming lol looked most awesome
I used HDMI and still saw a lag with Modern Warfare 2 when moving around.

The water park is HUGE! It opens up in June too, it's gonna be slammed though so you might want to wait until July or so. Let me know when you're in town and we'll get together.

So this morning I go to H-M Motorsport to get my tires rotated followed by a alignment. They said they could get me in right away and showed me to their waiting room. So about 2 hours into my wait I'm wondering what the fuck is going on so I look in the parking lot and see my car. So now I'm thinking it's finally done and they will come get me in a couple minutes. after about 15 minutes of waiting I walk out again and see that my car is on a lift and there is no one working on it. I'm like WTF. So I walk in the office and there is no one to be found at the desk for me to complain to.

So I go sit back down before I explode in a rage because I've been waiting for 3 hours for a simple tire rotation and alignment. So after about another 15 minutes I walk back out to see my car still sitting on the lift with NO ONE around. By now I'm so pissed off I could destroy the place. Finally after well over 3 hours I see my car being taken into the garage where they do the alignment. I walk into the office to ask the schmuck who is helping me WTF is going on. So he looks at me like he's never seen me and asks my name and what he can do for me. Hello dipshit you just met me a few hours ago. So I tell him I've been waiting for almost 4 hours and he says oh let me see what's going on.

So he comes back and says the technician is having trouble with the computer program that reads the alignment specs. I told him bullshit my car has been in the alignment shop for less than an hour. He tells me sorry it will be another 20 minutes.

So after another 30 minutes I walk back in and talk to the head guy there who is somewhat more understanding and tells me that this type of service is unacceptable and I won't have to pay anything. No shit Sherlock there is no way I'm going to pay for the God awful service. He tells me it's going to be another 20 minutes.

I finally get my car back after waiting almost 5 fucking hours. He hands me a free oil change slip and tells me he's very sorry. I gave the free oil change credit back to him and tell him I'll never ever consider coming back again.

/end rant
Holy cow, sorry for the bad referal. I hope someone got fired over that one. They are slow, but 5 hours is unacceptable.

No worries. I'm sure it doesn't happen all the time. It's still inexcusable though. The crappy thing is I called both HM Motorsport AND Alignment Specialties but Alignment specialties didn't answer the phone. I ended up calling them later in the day and it would have been cheaper than HM's so called "special" for the rotation and alignment.

At least now I know.

I agree, and checking out some hot talent would be nice too. Women are welcome at our meets, but none show up. Mine just goes shopping and eats too much.

I got a glimpse spring break when I was down there because Amy was giving a media tour. It is pretty cool, but the monitor over the wave pool freaks me out. I think it's because I've never seen a TV that big next to that much water.

I'll bet there are some premature equipment failures all over that place. You just can't have that much moisture in an enclosed space without some negative results.

^ They probably have a bunch of vents throughout the whole building, so something like equipment failure from something such as condensation wouldn't happen.

My company (Primisys Computers) set up the Titan simulator over there, we've been trying to get ahold of more of their IT, so hopefully we can grab the water park side too.

Long story^
In grade school (1974-9) one of my friends parents bought a new Lincoln. He was soooo proud of his parents car that when I called it pink he corrected me and said, "It's Pink Champagne!" Fast forward 36 years later and I was thinking about him and that obnoxious color of the boat his family drove (we had a Red '69 Chevy Impala conv), so I looked it up online and that was the first picture that showed up. I needed an avatar and it was so stupid looking I couldn't resist using it. After a couple hundred posts I decided not to change it because I always remembered everyone by their avatar and I didn't want anyone to forget me. They are such a ridiculous car that I thought about getting one as a pimp mobile.

love my falken 452 tires on the Tsx got those at americas tire, they beat any online pricing that you find even ebay as long as its a new tire and its from a company.

im about to get some nankang tires on the scion today that are 225x40x18 at 350 mount and balance.. i honestly cant find tires cheaper then that, that are brand new..

Glad to hear you are still shopping. Did you see "Kaze's" post for coil-over interest? The one thing that I noticed is the lack of tightness the struts now have compared to a new loaner we had a couple months ago. No fail on the system all together (no snags, rattles, leaks, shakes, or breaks yet). Although there is one AZ member who is bitching about a noise from his front strut, so I think this is something you should keep in mind for the future.

I can attest that if you run lowering springs on OEM struts they will blow. However; I probably put over 40K on my OEM's with the H-tech's on before they blew, so that's fairly decent longevity really for OEM's with a drop.

^ ya coil overs would be nice but i rather just get decent shocks with the springs and call it good.. it also depends on what kind of driving these people do.. if its a partial weekend warrior vehicle then obviously its going to go through shocks alot faster then one who just does highway driving..

i wish you would of been able to show up at the meet i wanted to see the size of your pulleys i was also curious on the room near the intercooler..

Sorry I didn't make it. Feel free to stop by the house and check the specs out in person. PM me when you want to take a look. We are going to the coast this weekend (Joel McHale), but I could always swing by your work too. You are only 6 miles north of me.
