another update of my 240 for you guys

LED guage cluster light done

HID Conversion & LED parking light
- 5k bulb I ordered was defective and only choice I had left was 8k bulb. Little too blue for me but oh wells..
- 5-LED Amber parking bulbs. I tried white led bulbs too but combination of 8k hid and white led was too blue.

Megan C-Pillar Bar

Clayed & Waxed
Never clayed in my life until today. Amazing to see what clyaing can do to car's paint.
Paint is simiply shiny and very smoooooth like brand new. Also clayed front and rear windshield too and that roughness is gone.

Clay bars do wonders for removing pollutants. I even clay barred my TL one-day old to get the rail dust off from shipping and water spots from rain that was allowed to dry.

Neighbors who don't know what clay bar is were ready to have me committed.

Clay bar is awesome until your discover a random orbital buffer or for more gnarly jobs, the high speed buffer. Granted you can only high speed a car a couple times in its lifetime the results when done right restore paint to the way it looked when it rolled off the factory line

even though i took it apart to clean? for some reason i would of thought it would reseat itself.. i think thats just what ive always been told in the past.. good to know now =) more reason to level the rear end haha

not harsh at all.. infact if anything it feels stiffer then stock but when i hit certain bumps it doesnt have that clunk sound i would of had in the old setup which makes me think that its soft also the wife said it has some bounce travel to it when she drove it today.. (i was backroad driving compaired to her highway driving) so i dont know. maybe i will stiffen it all the way and have her drive it see what she thinks then =)

You're adjusting with the bottom lock ring too right? don't adjust the spring perches.

still waiting for the pics...

somehow with the k-sport coils, ride just gets bouncier with harder setting. so on my 240, i think i only set them at 7 for both front and rear and now it rides the same as hardest setting with less bounce.

pics will have to come tomorrow i didnt have time last night.. i did adjust them to a stiffer setting 30 in the rear and 25 in the front it felt alot stiffer but i feel like a car with chopped springs now so maybe i tightened the springs too much as chris told me yesterday ill have to fiddle with it more this weekend im sure..

the other thing about the ksports and I don't know if this goes for all applications is that the spring rates are a bit high for the dampers. That leads to a bumpier or bouncier ride. So there isn't a whole lot you can do about a lil bounce than try to get the spring perch readjusted, the spring should not spin on the perch, however; there should be no preload (I could always spin the spring with some elbow grease).

Since you got the set up for free you can always have ksport send you some custom springs that have a lower spring rate and that would make it a whole lot smoother.

shit.. painting side skirts aren't cheap..
was expecting around $200 to paint them color matched but most shops want at least $400..
last inquiry was tf customs on cornellius pass and they'll paint it for $150 each side.. so $300 total and it'll be done by thursday

i was gonna mix the paint at napa and do it at home but time it takes to do sanding, priming, painting, clear coating... also garage needs to be masked off everywhere...

it'll ride much better and actually pretty soft and comfy for coilovers. and almost no bounce with softer setting.

have they been painted before? could do just a fine sanding a quick shot of primer then paint and then clear it.. saturday or sunday would be a perfect day since it wont be too hot and its dry..
