no hex screws or anything.

Update: so this morning I got manly and removed to the front coilovers and replaced them with my OEMs and H-Techs. Passenger front was a bitch driver front super easy... learned from the passenger side lol. Tonight is the rears and we're all back to normal

Well if you feel like dedicating some time or what not I could use an extra hand monday morning with the rears. I'll supply some brew and take you to lunch afterwards if you're interested.

I'll prolly start the rears tonight pending when we get home from woodland tonight. I'll update tonight with progress

Who's lovin all the rain?
Not the dumbass Oregonians getting into accidents that's for sure. You'd think people here would know how to drive in the rain but apparently, they forget over the summer.
Saw 4 accidents on my way to P-town yesterday, one of which was a Yukon XL Denali whose engine compartment went up in flames. The others were just people rear-ending each other. Nice chain reaction on one tho..4 cars involved.
Be careful out there!

Sounds like a plan to me, I'll pass on a PM and will update my progress in the AM, I plan on starting at 7 am or so and if it's like the front I'll probably be done by 9

Oh and for those of you heading north bound into WA their state troopers are out in force this weekend, spotted at least 10 on just a 28 mile stretch over the border

ok so here we are at 8:30, passenger rear is done. Driver rear the flange bolt was so tight that my 12" breaker bar just barely started turning the bolt and the head of the breaker bar broke clean off!!!!

So hoping home depot opens soon so I can get a bigger bar and finish this job. It seems that either the bolt is just grimed up or speed really over torqued it when they installed the coil overs...

Sounds like you got everything under control. From what i have experienced taking off a few suspensions installed at SC, im pretty sure they use impact wrench for alot of tightening. That or they wring the shit out of everything. Hope you got it done.

So got it all done, ended up with a new 15" breaker bar which broke that bolt loose with ease and RIP to my 12" breaker bar, may it be at peace in my garbage can.

As for the ride now it has about 1" gap all around and looks a bit 4x4ish compared to what it was but the ride is oh so quiet and comfortable. New tires are quiet, H-Techs are quiet and so smooth. With the koni yellows someday (have to recover from buying brand new tires ) it'll look a lil lower which will be great and still maintain the quiet cushy ride at least that's what I hope

As for the job, def ranks on my top 10 jobs I don't want to do again list just under the header lol

And you can absolutely tell that the bolts were put back on with an impact wrench, acura service manual for the aspec suspension says 47 ft-lbs for the flange bolt on the knuckle and you can tell there was WAY more torque than that...

Thanks to brandon for calling and checking up on me this morning, it's much appreciated!

Car felt good this morning. I attributed it to the fresh Mobil 1 and new oil filter I put in yesterday.

Insurance won't cover it?

I gotta get an oil change and clean the air intake as well, seems like all this maintenance has to happen at one time

back from short break and back to work tomorrow
was planning vegas trip too but prices are inflated for the next three weeks. around $900/person for 5stars and $600ish for 4stars for 4nights. nevermind that.

flights are really cheap through hawaiian air. i think its perfect time to hit any vacation spots. weather isn't too hot and prices are cheap because its off peak season.

insurance will cover anything above my deductable.. so since its 200 and a windshield is about the same price.. what the point of going through insurance?

If your deductible is low enough you don't have to pay, or not as much

Find a place that will pay for your deductible. I'm sure there are still places that do that..if you look hard enough. I'm pretty site I heard an ad for a place the other day. Luckily ODOT paid for mine

Why did Odot pay for yours??

I just checked i guess i have the acura on a 250 deductable and 500 on the scion.. so its cheaper just to buy the windshield.. although i was thinking i could change it on the scion to 100 for a week and tell them im going on a trip and it happend then.. i dont know if they would still cover it though since i would only need the coverage for a week then change it back..

I was drivin at the curves when they had sweepers out and they kicked up a few big ass rocks and chipped/cracked my windshield and put a nice little dent in my hood. Then the crack extended off to the passenger side and it's now all the way across the windshield. I'm waitin for all the construction in Wilsonville to wrap up before I change it tho. Don't wanna change it and have more rocks from construction so the same thing.

Called non-emergency number for p-town po pos to try to make a report, they gave me ODOT's number..left a message for someone friday night at like 11..when it happened..then got a call monday morning. had to jump thru a bunch of hoops which I didn't have much time for and adjusters are a pain in the ass type of people to deal with. But I had pretty good evidence including recent pics of the car that showed it wasn't damaged so I guess they figured they couldn't argue much with me.
