Sorry 3rd genners but I think it's time to ditch your rides because everytime I venture to your side of the world I spot rice off the port bow. More rice over there then on HT! lol

it may look stock but we know what you're runnin under the hood. It prob doesn't drive like a stock TL does

yea Pete's ride does look pretty nice but the exterior has been his focus. I'm sure if he had focused on performance first it wouldn't look as nice.

hehe yea, engine mods are next since I'm near done with the exterior. When I got the car it looked naked without the lipkit, then once the lip kit came, I had to get the drop. Then I wanted the a specs, so I bought those. I get tint on all my cars so I had to get that. The list goes on but I am saving for all my motor work all at once. Bonks mods plus a few extra. Not really sure if I want to keep the car yet. Gf's bday is this weekend and her gift ate up my comptech headers. boo

Too bad on the headers Pete, but I'm sure where there's a will there's a way. Yeah, there are quite a few more mods for the 2G available - I just got the three that make the most gains (besides the SC). I'd like to see a 2G with the P2R power plenums though, but $650 for 10-12hp isn't a great cost/gain ratio.

What power mods do you have now?

I dont have any power mods except for the power in my arms. I had an intake but I took it off, the hum got to me after a while so hence the icebox. I found a great deal on some CT headers but ya, spent the money on the gf. I'm at 88k so gonna do the maintenance then throw on the pulley, probably tb spacer, intake, and headers all at once. I wish I can throw down some funds for ATLP catback but 1k I can find other mods for now. I have Cusco lower strut and rear tie bar waiting to be installed. My air gun couldnt remove the bolts off for the lower strut. boo

yeah like remember when people use to think HUGE body kits were cool too? ack! we've come a long ways since those days but there still seems to be some resistance out there.

To each their own but I'd expect to see rice in the tsx forums not the TL's

Air gun? I thought you had all that power in your arms? lol j/k.

I had Speed Concept install the headers, intake and pulley. They installed the intake and pulley on the same day, but the headers took a while to arrive so they installed them a couple of weeks later. They didn't charge me any extra.

I'm curious on how the lower strut and rear tie bars will help on your handling. The only handling mod I'm considering is the Progress RSB, but the car handles pretty well as it is, well, good enough for me.

RSB is something you will have to do.. you will notice that for sure.. I know when i did the rear tie bar on my civic with the RSB it was stiff as hell.. i could hug corners like no tomorrow

Foh shizzle BCF (how's that for an old man?)

I haven't done any mods in a while to the TL. Too busy with family, church, golf, etc. Plus, I'm getting ready for my RC surgery next week. The RSB will have to wait. It's only like $85 from Excelerate, so it's pretty cheap.

Yeah, but it's inevitable. I hurt it in the gym, benching a bit too much weight (well too much for me!) without enough warmup. I've been putting off the surgery since April, but it's time. Golf season is winding down, so now's the best time. I have 3-4 months of rehab time after.

Lucky you! It's been 6 years since I visited family back in Hawaii. Which island or islands are you traveling to? Any particular plans? Have a great time.

I think the TL's wheels really make your car look great yet stock-ish.

Thinking about taking a torch and applying a little heat to maybe break the seal... any ideas?

I've had the same problem.

I used a heat gun to heat up the coilover and then soaked with wd40... eventually it broke free. I'm sure the torch method will work too...

Give PB Blaster a shot, it works wonders on breaking parts loose. It's avaiable at most auto parts stores like autozone. http://blasterchemical.com/display.cfm?p=50003&pid=4

have you tried a BFH with a screw driver in the slots and smacking it while trying to go the other direction on the lock? also i know on some coil over kits they have a little hex screw that you tighten up to the thread to lock the perchs
