The used car market is hot right now. They gave us 17k for our '08, and insane amount of money for that car. With the positive equity that gave us and the killer interest rates right now, it allowed us to upgrade to a brand new car for $70 LESS per month.

ya ive notice that too.. weve been looking at 2010s instead of 08s and 09s cause the price difference.. i really like the 09 RDXs though cause i can still get a front lip for it.. dont really like the front ends of a 10 or 11.. we will see though.. its all about how much we have to put down and what rate we get and stuff.. i dont wanna pay more then 370 a month on a vehicle specially with gas prices not going back down to the 3$ mark any time soon

Yes they are discontinued so they are pretty rare to come by. I'm planning to keep the car until the engine falls out on its own so I can wait

or the $125 thin-wall running boards from the side of the RDX?

I was wondering that myself. Now that the motors are so small and efficient they can't claim that it was just to save weight. Let's face it, they were being cheap. If I had it to do over again...I would have waited until we could afford a slightly bigger payment, and bought the Cayenne. Back then you could get a Cayenne S for less than $70k. It was a full second faster than the RDX and got the same MPG's. If we didn't have that TL payment to make every month I would trade this gas hog in on a black one right now!

^ ya we have been second guessing the RDX.. the sales person was telling us they might even start fading the RDX out soon cause it doesnt sell well..

we have been looking at the infiniti FX35 the EX, the GMC terrains (i think is what they are) and the jeeps, we just dont know anymore..

Ether it needs to be faster or get better mpg's. I got 25 on my trip back from Lincoln City in the TL yesterday. Were talking 4,000 lbs and a 300hp 3.7ltr V6. Why can't my little 2.3ltr get that kind of mileage?

its cause the turbo runs really rich.. im sure if you got the hondata reflash you would get leaner and better mpg. my trip back from pacific city in the tsx with extra weight in the trunk got 28mpg (did a fill up and checked them mileage) it was nice! i can handle 23 24 average in a vehicle but for it to be 22 at best for highway miles doesnt say a whole lot.. for that kind of mileage i might as well get a tundra crew cab haha

The re-flash is on the list but the $600 50k service is in the budget first. Wish we had a way to pay off the TL so I could free up that $700 every month. There would be a few other items checked off the list by now.

The terrains are pretty dope, the interior is seexxaayyy! I am also afraid to say it but I'm liking the style of the new durangos. But after seeing 2 Chargers and a Ram that needed new engines and/or trannies at my temp job last year, I am staying far away from Chrysler.

No way..don't go to them for that service. Seriously, most of it you can do yourself and if you get a good jack and know what you're looking for, then the inspection you can do yourself too.

On another stealership note, I need a new ABS pump and went to RT Acura to get an estimate. They pulled up all the same codes I pulled and then told me that a new pump and labor was 2Gs!!!!!!
I found a used one for $125 off an 03 CL-S and plan on doing it myself next month along with an all fluid flush and replace and I'm still under a quarter of what they want.

It's everything plus a rear diff fluid change and a new battery. Stealership prices RTA. If something else is busted (and a rear speaker is blown) I'll take it to Acura of Portland because that is where the 6yr/70k was written at. Darrel at RTA will give me a nicer loaner to drive while they rape me.

After the last recommendation I hesitate buuuut...

Apex
12225 SW Millikan Way,
Beaverton, OR 97005
503-646-2739

minor paint (bumper, wheels etc.), 3M clear bra, detail, and tint. (John Ferris)

Nice small shop, they work on most of the dealers vehicles that need quick, inexpensive fixes.
