Well got another type of photography under my belt today... Senior Photos!
Had a 4 hour session down in the Gorge that produced a ton of good pictures.
Did them for a friend who is going to spread the word at her school. Hopefully brings in some money

yea but nothing excited, I was only there for a short while at the beginning so people where comes as I was leaving. Just showed so I can say I went to the meet, but my goal is to own an nsx in a couple of years and damn, one next was cf out, even his glove box was cf. sick.

Damn I really impressed myself with the Senior Photos I took yesterday.
Gotta work up some prices as some of her friends are already interested.
If you guys know anyone that needs some pictures done, keep me in mind!

Oh n recommendation..keep your prices low. Senior pics are a big PITA. I almost couldn't get mine cuz my dad lost his job right before we had to pay for them. Luckily, the place I went to was super cool and let me rep for them so I could get a discount.
Oh and cheap wallet bundles..cuz that's what everyone wants..pics to give to friends!!

Prices will be low.
Im not dealing with prints. I will be selling disks with the photos on them.
Facebook, myspace etc etc is the new version of handing out those little wallet pictures that people loose these days if you ask me.
One thing i see wrong with most photographers is they charge for packages of shit no one will ever need or want. The way im gonna do it is to let the customer tell me what they need and want and work with them from that.
Gonna have some business cards made up with the pictures i took yesterday to be used as rep cards.

That's a pretty good idea..the disk thing..cuz that way you can get what you need made whenever you want. But two years ago the whole wallet thing was still pretty big. Maybe make it an option? I agree, studios charge too much for all the bundle crap. My bro just got his done at Sorenson and they were expensive as hell..and he didn't even get that many. A few portrait sizes for mom and grandparents, some smaller ones for close family and like 16 wallets or so. But I gotta admit they did some awesome work...

best way to form a portfolio is seriously while you're in school! So many extra doors will open for you on your way out that way or remain open is you choose to continue your own practice. Props to Kyle for being proactive!

Speaking of photography, a friend of mine just got his first feature shoot in import tuner. Its the oct. issue so if you guys happen to have it take a glance. The car is a old corolla i believe and shot by Patrick Luader. Also if you have the chance check out his flicker. He goes by quickster, quickworks, or even quickslvrtypeS on there. He might be coming up later this year so i might have him shoot my car lol.

Yea he has gotten really good with his work. If i remember correctly we both got out rebel xt about the same time around 06 i believe. So really, hes been shooting with an dslr for about 3.5 years or so and we were mini shoots with our p/s before that lol.
