what? do you have a 3rd gen TL? If its a 2nd gen then its common, your D5 light should be blinking. Its covered under warranty from ACURA up to 109k miles or 7 years, something like that.

should be under warranty. i had it towed to acura and costed me 99 somethin but reimbursment(sp) from insurance is on the way.(didnt have my roadside assistant card with me)
just spoke to my service advisor. they have to order parts and hopefully get it done by end of this week. got a loaner car waiting for me too. hopefully its the new tl, that'd be nice to test out. didn't know the 3rd gen had this problem... makes me wanna trade in for a non honda/acura... i cannot believe i would say thoes words. i've owned acuras/hondas for the past 5 vehicles and never had too many problems til recently with the newer aged models...

Man that sucks, I have about 67k miles so far on my 5 AT and about a year on the supercharger with no problems. I've put the 5 AT through serveral track days at PIR too. I do change out the ATF pretty frequently and maybe plan on adding a transmission cooler.

For the 2gs, if you arent having tranny problems, Acura would throw on a comptech oil cooler for free. So far so good for me, but with the rep that my tranny has, it has me afraid to take my car on long trips. I'm debating on trading in my car for a newer TL but having it almost paid off and to start over is not cool.

I've driven mine to LA and back, Watsonville and back twice since I've had my car and no probs. I like the idea of a cooler but honestly, if its gonna go, nothin will prevent it from doing so. Basically the cooler is just a waste of $$ IMO. The only remedy is a 6MT!!!!!!!!!!
If mine ever goes :knock on wood: then that's the route I'm goin...

v6 is already out at ron tonkin. i took a peek at the white GS300 AWD too. nice clean car but 300 is on the weak side. i'd probably traded in my tl in a heart beat if it was GS350 AWD with same price tag

funny that lately, including even this thread the forums have been fairly quiet. Is this a sign of the economy or are people on vacation? I mean your typical offenders are still lurking around with some new toys but it seems most have really dropped off....

I haven't heard of this - is there some kind of documentation or notice somewhere? My tranny is still shifting pretty smoothly - there's sometimes a delay when downshifting when I stomp on the accelerator, but nothing serious, so far.

hey Ken do you ever get to see the analytics for this site? Like the amount of page views, unique visits vs. returning visitors etc? It'd be super interesting to see how a big site like this performs.

Anyone wanna buy a 07-08 TypeS front Bumper or a 07-08 WDP Base Aspec Lip?

I have both just sitting in my garage...gonna be starting up school soon and i dont see this project getting finished anytime soon.

Front bumper is unpainted in perfect condition.
The Lip has two small chips in the bottom of it from shipping, i wasnt worried about it because it was to all be repainted anyways. They might not be visible when mounted, im not sure.

Let me know if anyone is interested and ill get pics, and we can work out a price.

Edit: I also have all the TypeS grill trim available too.

Did you ever get your center grill bar fixed? I have that piece too if you need it.
