hey anybody know any decent cheap shop around here? I need to get my timing belt done, I have the parts, clarks is charging $500 for labor which I think is a pretty good deal but any cheaper would be better. I was gonna sell her but every car I wanted was sold by the time I got there so now i'm just going to change the belt and keep her for another year.

all you need is a drill press and the matching rotor.. line up the holes (if you could do it i would suggest bolting the open holes together so the dont move) then drill out the 5th hole and be done.. 30 min job tops.. you could take it to a machine shop and have them do it but they will charge you shop rate probably.
And I should be getting the new rotor before Thursday so I'll finish up the fronts this weekend. I already feel like I have better brake response with just the rears though I am getting that scraping sound. Hopefully it'll go away after a few hundred miles and the bed-in. If not, I'll be going back to blanks since it makes me sound like I'm dragging something..
BTW, was that you I spotted on Greeley today at about 4:30 at Adidas? Looked like your ride and if it was, your avi pic does the TSX no justice

they do that so you'd call sorry, preowned is whatever you can negotiate, unfornately i have no control over that, in other words we have to negotiate on preowned vehicles ourselves. now if you DO pick it up, i'll give you good deals on parts which is where i specify in.

I think I'd get a leveling kit then a taller tire like some BFGs and the FJC wheels. That'd look tough.
Yeah I hate when dealers are shady online about the price!

I was afraid of that. The BFG's are a awesome A/T...untill you hit mud. Ive also read that they wear quickly when street driven all the time due to a soft compound.

It would actually save a couple hundred. I just dont have the weekends anymore or more then a couple hours to work on my car so I dont see anytime soon I can do it. If I could find a shop to do it for 600-650 I would be all over it but Ive called around and they are a lot more then that.

so is it going to turn into your weekend warrior soon?
i think the lip looks good regardless if its painted or not.. gives it a better look. if you save a few bucks for the E-DM lip i say go for it.. its not like youre running a show car.. that lip will probably see more curps and rocks in its lifetime then a showroom floor.

Seriously, I wouldn't worry too much about the belt as I would about making sure all the gaskets/seals fit like a glove so you don't get any leaks which would be a pain to have to fix. If you can go to a small shop where you can watch the tech do the work I'd go there. bonknhead's recommended shop sounds like a great place..small..only honda/acura..and 600 for t-belt job and brake flush..shit..why even think twice.

issue with this xenon lip is finding one at reasonable price. they are made out of polyurethane and brand new ones cost at least $300+ shipped while other fiberglass body kits (full kit) only cost $600.
