PS3, PS4, PC: Diablo 3
^ Yep. Feel your pain. Best you can do is use SS with LF rune and hope you kill them fast enough. I also stand in caltrops with damage rune for the snakes and try to time SS on reaction as soon I hear the caltrops go off.
Lol just wait till you get to inferno Belial... I wipe 50% of the time from those adds alone.

yea i tried belial with killerg and his friend yesterday. i was not having a good day. messed up on some keys and ended up being more detrimental than helpful. i left the game to try to give them a better chance to beat him and lo and behold they beat him right after i left. i suck. i'm gonna give it another shot after i read this thread and saw this video on the bnet forums.

^ crazy hatred regen and i think he might've stacked + disc?
I know that when I spam nether tentacles like that I go bone dry on hatred real quick....
His dps is low, but with unlimited resources it doesn't really matter...
Edit: Apparently he only has 47 disc. Hmm. Guess he's just a better player than I am.

Yea i think i kept dying to belial/snakes cuz i ran out of disc. i'm gonna load up on some disc equips cuz i need it more than dps...i'll switch out gears midfight if i need to.
Oh! did not know that about magda...i rushed through a2 cuz i hated it so much...lol
yea if i need help beating belial i'll look for you. thanks JS.

I was never interested in Demon Hunter, so I have no idea how they play. Can't give you any advice.. haha
Anyway, yeah, what's your battletag again? Just send me a msg in game if you see me! I'll tell my wife to tank for us. LOL Her monk tanked all the attacks of Belial except for the poison explosions which she simply moved away from it. That's before I got her some gears for almost 3 mil gold.
I sold my main weapon to upgrade, so now I only put out 44k dmg with 2 attacks per second.. before I had 65k dmg with 2.7 attacks per second. So, I'm substantially weaker than I was before. But it's alright, I can certainly help you out since I can still do a siegebreaker run with this crappy weapon.

JS, did you do magda with 5 stacks? i did just her quest and got a 2 stack on the way...got shit drops.
my friend helped me kill belial then me and my brother and some friends were able to do it also

My wife's gonna be HAPPY. LOL
The effective of IAS will go down for sure, but some characters still need to stack them to a certain point. Like wizards need to have IAS to cut down the shooting animation which helps us to kite much easier. So, just because they are nerfing it on the items, we won't ditch them completely.
I did however bought some sweet dex/crit chance/crit dmg items for my wife's monk, and I'm going to be stacking them more than IAS from now on.
Overall, it's going to be a great update!
And with couple decent drops and trading yesterday, I saved up 13mil gold right now! yay
are you sure the mobs are getting nerfed? only thing I read about that is that their dmg doesn't increase with more ppl in a game but that has already been implemented via hotfix.
it really sucks that the IAS nerf is a huge drop though. For example, what used to be 15% is now 5% or less.

Yes.
That coop nerf has already been done with the hotfix. But if you scroll down to "Oh Yeah!" section, you can clearly see that they are balancing out the Act 2/3/4 in Inferno level.
So, it's all good. And nerfing IAS just opens up so much more options as far as the gearings are concerned. It'll be fun!

The patch was specifically designed to nerf the demon hunters who only stacked attack speed.
Barbs and Monks will be rising now. It seems like it's much easier for the melee characters due to the dmg/hp reduction of act2/3/4 mobs.
More offensive builds NOW!

sure it's FINALLY nice for my monk to be able to wield 2H weapons, but it sucks that all the big nerfs so far are against the DH. Their Elemental Arrow - Nether Tentacles only hit each enemy once.
Whether the characters now are more balanced or not, is subjective. But it is irrelevant to me due to the fact that it is annoying having to figure out and adapt to the new changes on a bi weekly basis. It's like paying for one game and having to constantly readjust to a new one every few weeks. Just a bit annoying.
and this.....
wtf. The whole fun of Diablo was about loot.

and this.....
Magic Find will no longer be considered when looting objects in the environment such as chests, barrels, vases, pots, and corpses
Unique monsters in Hell and Inferno difficulty are no longer guaranteed to drop two Magic items when slain
Destructible objects no longer have a chance to drop items, and will only have a small chance to drop gold when destroyed

they should've raised the cost of NT instead of nerfing it like that. the damage to hatred cost was what made it the best offensive skill. bump up the hatred cost to like 35 and see how people fare now that they can't spam it as much. meh oh well. what's done is done. i'll see how my char is when i get home.
Just did a quick butcher run after i came back from the lunch break. Nothing's any different.
Found a cute decent 1hander with a socket for 1 million. Put a crit gem in it. My dmg is back at 40k.
I'm bidding on these 3 items for wife's monk right now... ending at 8PM today... hopefully i will be able to get them. Trying to change her gears for high crit chance/dmg with dual fists set up now.
Just won the bidding for high dex ouroboros amulet for her monk. Paid about 1.8mil for it. It worth up to 4 mil easy. Now it's more after the patch.

It's MUCH better for barbs and monks. They can now be more aggressive with builds and gears.
If you've killed SB pretty easily before, you can still comfortably do it. I know a lot of wizards were worried about it when they heard about it, but they realized it's not much of a problem. Reflect damage is freaking annoying when it's on champions that run around together, which makes you take 5-6 times of the regular reflect damages.
But the SB is just 1 huge mob. It should bother you killing him.
What do you guys think about these weapons on the bottom right. The sword is 10m and the dagger is 5mil at the moment. I kinda want to get it..... don't know if I should.

Everyone who has items with crit chance/crit dmg are putting them for ridiculous amount gold now. And people are buying it.
I swear Blizzard needs to hire some new employees who are experts on economics.

My regular weapon throw hits for like ~20k-28k while my crits hit for ~80-120k
A4 Inferno is still ridiculous. Were it not for sprint I probably wouldn't do any damage, I'd just die while kiting.
Even white oppressors are as bad as the old soul lashers or worse.... they charge you, leaving you suspended in a knockback animation then they one-shot you after that if you're not full health

10k dmg isn't that much of a deal. if you were progressing fine in act 2 before the patch, you should NOT have any problem with it. Everybody is so happy that act 2/3/4 mobs were nerfed. Can't you guys feel it? I noticed that it was certainly easier to farm last night than the night before.
And the loots are awesome. So many rares are dropping now.

My DH lost 35% of it's DPS due to the nerf, but somehow my Monk gained 10% DPS

and now i cant progress in act II.
