my gear hit yellow and it cost me 30k!!! don't even wanna think of repairs if it was red smh

 

i like ACT 1 drops more rares then act II but thats just me

 

u sure a1 drops more rares? or was it cuz its easier to farm 5 stack there and fight other champs/elites which now are guarantee'd to drop at least 1 rare with 5 stacks?

took some getting used to but i feel pretty much okay with the patch. yea the NT nerf sucked but whatever. i was doing 92k post SS but now i took off SS as a passive and i'm at 32k and i'm doing fine. me and my friends killed belial yesterday...took 2 tries cuz first time we didn't kill his second phase fast enough so he enraged and put green bombs all over the map. i almost dodged them all hahah. second time i swapped out my nat's 1h xbow for my dps xbow at the second phase fight

 

I know. At first I was like

I wonder if some people just runs out of money for repair cost. Some people who are not geared properly to run higher Acts? That'll be hilarious.

But really, like I said yesterday, it's completely random regardless of which act you are farming.

Dude, you gotta farm up/upgrade your gears asap, so we can farm the SB together. I can do it myself and my wife and I can do it together too, but her monk needs some more gears to comfortably do it. That's why we just farm act 2. But really, Act 3 drops ilvl63 rares more frequently, that's for sure.

Maybe you don't need better gears, if you know how to DODGE.

I honestly don't know the market value of DH stuff. But it does look pretty good with all those stats + socket.

Is that bow a huge upgrade for you? If it's not, just save more money to get a higher item.

 

Just played with that wizard who wrote the guide.... he's insane. He gave me an advice on what to improve regarding my gears and he invited me to his game so he can show me how he plays. He melts through the act 3 elites like it's nothing.

I'm going to do a lot of gold AH shopping tonight. Dropping my lacuni bracer/hammer jammer for more stats rares with int/vit/all res.

It's extremely good for wizards. 25% MS is just.. awesome. I'm just changing them since I want to be more tanky.

which bow was 5m? honestly, i don't think i would've paid 5m for either of those xbows. second one had decent stats but lower than endgame like dps at only 8xx. first one has better dps but no socket and no crit damage. what skills are you running on your dh?

found my first 1k+ weapon yesterday a 11xx dps 2h mighty weapon for a barb...checked AH...and it's worth CRAP. like maybe 300k? sigh ah well...gonna farm a1 more with my friends now. we run through a1 easily. would like to try out a2 but i don't think they like dying

 

lol with repairs so costly i see a lot of people farming Act I now for gold.

 

To be honest if someone can't afford the repair cost, that person is in the wrong act. Just step down 1 act and farm there.

agreed with JS. i think its mostly dh's complaining about repair costs now. cuz we die so easily and so much that they didn't think of repair costs as anything and now all of a sudden it's a whopping 30k each time...every unskilled dh is QQing about repairs and deaths.

although for DH's there's a gold farming method that's easy and brainless. a3 nm run through the last quest with all your gold find gear on. i make over 100k each run. more than enough for my repair costs.

 

i've never joined a public game on my own. my friend does cuz he likes playing with people so when he wasn't 60 yet i'd request an invite for him and help him and whoever else was there with the quest or act. now most of my friends are 60 so none of us need to join pub games. Pete, do you still need help with any boss or whatever?

^ eh that break may be good since a majority of the player base are in an uproar due to the insane repair prices... and I have a feeling blizz is going to do something about it quickly.

Other than farming Act 1 Inferno and some parts of act 2, its pretty much a guarantee that you will spend more gold in repairs then you will actually find... even if you don't die.

 

This is true..even playing through act I inferno and just dying twice accidentally i still had to pay something like 15k G just to get that repaired. Wasnt even in the yellow.

(brings me to my next point, they need to optimize this for ATI cards. I get massive stuttering in the first big mob fight right after loading up the game. after that fight it's good. This was one of the causes for aforementioned deaths.)

edit2: looks like i'm not the only one experiencing stuttering, and it might not even be related to video or CPU (intel and nvidia people are getting it too). The game just needs to be optimized, which is surprising since Blizzard usually puts out games that "any" computer can play smoothly.

Now imagine trying to kite an elite mob with that stutter. Feel sorry for dem hardcore players.

 

^ Yeah, they didn't think the Repair Costs thoroughly enough. I know they implemented it to partially combat botting, but it hurts the player base as whole.

If you're even a bit laggy in a gaming session and you die, you are now punished with ridiculous repair costs.

Moved away from my weapon throw build, currently trying out the 2H DPS build. Elite packs die in 5 seconds.

I'm not joking either. Even with invulnerable mobs or fire chains (once the bane of my barbarian's existence) I just pop all cooldowns at once and destroy the elite.

 

Anyone in the Diablo world have any cool barbarian swords they want to sell! At least above 200??

maybe I overpriced my weapon but its fairly good and I just gave up after nobody bought anything. And no, I didn't price everything at $250 or even $100

 

I've made $5.10 total so far selling some cheap rares (that imo weren't even that good.. gold value under 2k.)
