PS3, PS4, PC: Diablo 3
finally got to 60 after some power-leveling on that act 4 boss (not diablo).
Friend gave me some old gear so i'm around 20k hp, 26-28k dps depending on which rings I equip.
I hope blizzard doesnt patch out hydra-healing. Because with the gear I have now my health regen is like nothing.

how did you even pass hell with 15k hp? you're goign to have to give up damage for hp man. i didn't even do belial in hell yet but i've been killing in act 3, azmodan and i can go to inferno but i'd die so fast. my dps sucks. i need to hit 60 first then gear up and farm some items before i hit up inferno.
spamming caltrops probably lol. I just managed with 17k barely.
even at 60 and my relatively crappy gear i get 1 shotted in whimshire (sp?) and that's with diamond skin. damn teddy bears.
edit: oh and i didnt solo...solo with that little HP is crazy. lol.

Btw, just purchased both Boj Anglers (10%MS/13%AS Boots) & Lacuni Prowlers (6%MS/13%AS Bracers) for 1.2 Mil for my wizard.
It was a pretty good deal.
And no these aren't the bugged ones!
Please note that Increased Attack Speed ones are bugged, Attacked Speed Increase are the properly working ones.

I did this run about 20 times, which i made about 8-9 million gold by both picking up the gold + selling some of the decent rares at the auction house/trading forum.
Now I have some decent gears for my wizard/barbarian/my wife's monk as well as about 6 million gold in reserve. It's really not hard. I've been playing average 3-4 hours everyday since the release. Can't be happier with this game!
When I beat Hell Diablo @ lvl 60, I farmed Hell Act 3 Azmodan about 15-20 times. Of course with 5 stacks of Neph V. That gave me enough decent items and gold to upgrade my gears which were good enough for me to do the Inferno Act 1 Jailor + the Butcher 5 stacks run.

I'm stuck on Belial inferno now too
guess I can't brag to my friend about gettin to act 3 on my own.
I went from my throwing build back to a melee 2H weapon, experimented with a few different builds there, and ultimately went back to my throwing build, changed up a bit. On something like my 30th+ try, can you imagine the rage....

I stopped moving a tenth of a second too soon, and his double arm smash came down and one-shotted me. If I had leaped out of the way, I would have lived. I went through a 100-stack of mythic potions and had to repair multiple times. Worth it. I'm undergeared to solo this, but I'm so beyond stubborn that it didn't matter. I was determined to down Belial after getting him down to 1/3 a few times, and even coming this close... ultimately I failed.
At least I finally sold my first major item, a rare ring with IAS, dex, vitality and either a socket and/or gold find. Sold it for like 1.2 mil, overspent most of it on new gear already...

don't have much mf on my gears. i never really look at the mf stats on the gears, i should though.
and i use my wizard for most of the farming runs. not because it's easier to do so, it's just that i like playing wizard.
inferno jailor + butcher run should give you decent items/gold to advance to act 2.

MG:can you post up ur gears and stats? I'm really into Barbs nowadays. Just got it up to lvl 60 last night.

I'm trying to follow this guy's build.

Hate to say it man, but the game is rubbish though, i mean act 1 through 4 can be beat in 6 hours, I think it was rushed cause you can see it in act 3 and 4 they are ridiculously short, this game forces you to go through the auction house to advance which is a money making scheme, I should have expected it from Acti-blizzard though.
But really, the Act 4 is a joke. I'm not frustrated or anything, it's just sad how they had to make it that short.
Hopefully, in a couple years, they will come out with an expansion pack that come with a lot more quests.
so i have a 60 barb and i have like 100k, shit gears, and i cant solo act 1 inferno.
Dont know if I should re-roll to a wizard or not, but i started one up anyway, its incredibly frustrating to play this game as a melee class, blizzard clearly did not intend the end game to be played with a barbarian, if you expect to survive you need to stack res/vit to the point where your DPS is shit, otherwise you need around 10 mil to get the 3 rare items that every high level barb is trying to buy (helm of com, justice lant, stormshield)
its fucking sad

you are not supposed to solo inferno act 1 with shitty gears. you have to farm up hell act 3 or act 4 to get decent items and gold to purchase some decent gears off the AH or trading forum.
no you don't need stormshield/justice lantern/helm of command to solo inferno act 1, you just need some rares with lots of vital/some all res items which can be had for under 300k per item.
how many times did you 5 stack farm after you became lvl 60? i don't know how you only have 100k gold.
i just got my barb up to lvl 60 last night and play through mid act 1 solo without any problems. of course, i already had some lvl 60 rares for my barb from farming with my main character wizard.
Try to use this skill build:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5593234364
and rerolling to wizard would not suit you well, if you are easily to get frustrated by dying in inferno. most of wizards get 1-4 shots in inferno regardless of HP/all res.
but it's true that you need more items to be on the same level with barbarian/monk than with wizard/dh in inferno.

I have a fairly unorthodox build. I like it though. I was kiting champion packs anyway, so I figured, why not do craptons of damage to them while I'm at it?
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...Yki!ZYf!ZcaZcY
Here's my stats:

I focused on as much crit damage as possible. I do need a LOT more vitality and probably armor, as most of Belial's attacks one-shot me. The build I posted above has furious charge + dreadnought which is great for various packs of mobs but for Belial I used ancient spear + rage flip for more damage and fury generation. What could be sexier than 250k crits, back to back?
I have solo'd all of act 1 and all of act 2 up to Belial now. As you can see from the pic I posted above, I was very close to beating him...
My armor is actually in the 4000s, forgot to dismiss enchantress.

My regular weapon throw hits for like 22-30k or so but crits can hit for up to 110k, and it bounces between three targets like a mutalisk's attack. Each crit also has a high chance of giving me more fury. Every time each bounce crits, I jizz a little.
I have a belt that reduces weapon throw cost by 3 fury. I'd recommend at least a reduction of 3 fury, though I got by with 2 for a while. 4 fury belts are ridiculously expensive with decent stats.
my only advice even though I don't have much gold relative to others is to game the AH. If you pick up items that aren't a surefire improvement, check the value of similar items and undercut them by a bit. I also try to snipe good deals (items that have 1d 12h left) or bid on items that have high buyout but low bid amount.

^ Nice build/toon. And I agree, gaming the AH is like a huge part of the game right now.
I got tired of getting my DH's $hit pushed in Inferno act 3 after the Smoke Screen nerf... and I've gotten nothing but crappy drops minus a magic 960 dps bow. So I decided to lvl a Wizard alt and make gold in the process.

After like probably 40 attempts including yesterday. I almost quit after getting rubberbanded back into a poison explosion twice today... but I'm one stubborn mofo.

time to get some lube for act 3!
^^btw my DH friend uses SS with some rune that makes him run faster. He also uses some attack that generates discipline, and uses nether tentacle to regen health. works fairly well in A2, not sure about A3... hope that helps?

Very nice!
Costco! Love your build man!
And that's one cool looking gear... My barb looks more like a farmer.
So, since it's a "throwing" barb build, you just focus on str/crit/all res in terms of stacking?
Just noticed your weapon speed, you will be able to do SO MUCH MORE damage with some + attack speed gears! Love it man.

also, treasure goblin farming spot. Start in inferno, act 2 with any of "The Black Soulstone" quests:
this is where I got lucky and found an amulet that had +damage, 110int, 150vit, 30% MF and a socket. Likely gonna go for over a million
Yeah that's a similar build I use.1. Smoke Screen (Lingering Fog)
2. Preparation (Back Up Plan)
3. Caltrops (Jagged Spikes) or Marked for Death (Grim Reaper)
4. Bat Companion
LM: Hungering arrow (Puncturing)
RM: Elemental arrow (Nether tentacles)
Passives: Tactical Advantage/Archery or SS/Perfectionist
Aside from my passives and my #3 ability, thats pretty much the cookie cutter DH inferno build. Act 1 was cake, act 2 difficult... act 3 is just impossible.
And "Attack Speed Increase" is the proper one. Those legendary/set items with Increased Attack Speed" are bugged and don't work at all.
JS + MS3, did you do your hell 5 stack azmo runs solo? i've been running with friends but we sometimes have more than 4 people so i figure i can just go off on my own and do 5 stack azmo runs if it still yields good results.
yesterday was pretty good...we found the legendary quiver, lidless wall and i got natalya's xbow. and a shit ton of rares.

When I was doing that Hell 5 stack Azmodan runs, I would choose the last quest of Act 3, go to that bridge of kurshit or something, get like 3-4 stacks there, then go to the last waypoint. Get the 5 stack and go to Azmodan right away. Since Azmodan is a joke to kill, it took about 20-25 mins to finish 1 run. The bridge of shithole give you a lot of gold since there are like zillions of mobs.

Pretty good patch overall imo
I love the fact that they are going to decrease the gem combining fee because my wife literally spend every gold she makes to combine all those little gems....... I tell her it's wasting gold because the cost is too high in terms of value, but she did them anyway since it's CUTE.

thanks for the tips!
Yeah, she doesn't care about the items or levels. She just plays it because it's fun and i've been playing it, which I really appreciate.
I actually do enjoy the game more when I play with her and couple of my friends. I was so excited when my wife/me/two of my coworkers co-oped and killed the hell level diablo when we were all pretty under-geared.
She loves to collect gems and upgrading the gem shop and blacksmith shop. I didn't know they cost so much gold to do that. I always ask her what happen to all the gold she got, she's like "i upgraded those gem shop and made the gems bigger!"
