PS3, PS4, PC: Diablo 3
I actually picked up my first legendary today from a stone coffin. So-so, something like lvl 55, 350 armor, 70 str, 111 int, 2.5% chance stun on hit, 800 health globe bonus. I'm semi-disappoint.
I've gone all out ranged barbarian now. I get owned in act 2 (resistances only in the 200s) but act 1 is okay. I got tired of kiting and doing no damage as well as not having enough damage and protection so I decided to try something new. It's very fun! Never expected this from a class so WoW warrior-esque IMO.
My crit chance could be much higher (only 28%), but here's my build if any barb players are curious:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...Ydk!fZY!ZccZcZ
I have a 780dps 2h mace with ~90 str, 59% bonus crit dmg... good but not great. Got it cause it was a steal. But I can pull off close to 90k crits in mostly lvl 51-59 rares.

Freaking invulnerable elites. What do I do with them? I don't get it.
I just teleport away from them.
Inferno level is challenging! I love it. And my barb is lvl 50 now. Playing him certainly gives me different excitement.

dps and attack speed. I throw down a frost hydra along with blizzard and use the passives that regen arcane along with galvanizing ward. Also frost armor with the proximity slow. I've switched to some more HP items so i have like around 10k hp. doing about 5.8k dps with the gear I have (i know i need to buy some better stuff). Also have magic weapon/force weapon.
i've tried doing the power leveling quest rotation in Act II and I die at least once lol. I have to go archon if i want to get past the ambush quest.
i try kiting most of them but some of them have those stun crap and run faster than i do -_-. Most dont seem to be affected by blizzard lol. Level 54 wiz

What's your level?
So, this is what I do in Hell. As far as the skill build, to each his own. If you like your style, you should stick with it. Everyone plays a little bit differently.
But I do have MM Seeker/Venom Hydra/Diamond Skin/Blizzard with 2nd rune that freezes mobs/Force Weapon/Force Energy Armor. My passives are gal ward/blur/arcane dynamo.
The regular mobs are nothing. But some of the nastiest elites are hard and you have to kite. Throw down a Venom Hydra (this is the most powerful hydra rune because the poison pool stacks) and blizzard. Try to run around in circle so the mobs will stay under the blizzard and hydra for a longer period. And blast them with whatever choice of your signature spell with diamond skin on. When your diamond skin goes away, run around in a circle again waiting for the cooldown on diamond skin goes away.
Do this til they die.
But you do need to bump up your hp to around 25k to be more effective because you occasionally have to take couple hits. Those freaking vortex affixed elites are nasty.
If you bring your hp/dmg up to 25k/13k, you should have no problem with Hell.
Inferno is..... a whole different story though. But you can worry about that once you are done with Hell.

But I read that you need to at least have 30k hp to take hits by those medusa shit mobs. It all depends on your resist/armor level, but yeah, you need about 30k.
And I guess Act 2 is harder than Act 3 because those medusa bitches.
lol this is Shiddy. And yeah the only things that give me issues are the medusa monsters because they don't get hit by traps when invisible. As long as I'm not fighting them, I'm A-OK.
Spent some time this weekend farming Inferno Act 1 with a barbarian and Wizard, and my DH pretty much gets 1 shot by anything.Lots of corpse running if you get an unlucky combo on an elite/champ (vortex or tele/molten/invulnerable/jailer).
Act 2 in inferno is just nuts. You know those annoying flies that spit out the small flies that fly toward you? Well in inferno its pretty much like playing freaking Gradius (or Super R Type) and you're trying to dodge as much shit on the screen as possible.
I got 65k HP, 10k armor and 10k dps with my 1 hander and I am useless in Act II. 2mil gear for nothing.I need that gear that is like 5 mil a pop or go ranged Barb like that one guy. But then I rather just play my DH which has like 40k dps.
Anything after act I inferno is so rediculously hard that once I beat butcher inferno I just reroll lol. Occasionally I farm Act I but it gets boring fast and I enjoy trying out the different classes. So far I have a 60 DH, 60 Barb and now a 34 Monk that I made yesterday. Probably going to play all classes to 60.

I think my biggest gripe about the game is, while farming inferno I get lvl 48 rares, like wtf why is a lvl 48 rare dropping in a lvl 60 zone makes no sense.
I also play as a witch doctor btw

That is weird. Ever since I started farming act 1 in inferno. I've been getting some sweet lvl 60 rares. I've never seen anything that's under 54.
can you give me some? lol i hate crafting it's almost useless cause everything I seem to craft has dex/str. I end up crafting something and then breaking it back down. that 15k gold to upgrade blacksmithing is better spent on the AH.
yeah add shiddyadams#1258 and I'll give ya whatever I got.
I never get the crafting concept. Why would you do that? It's completely random. Just like loot system. I would rather just farm gold and items and possibly purchase something that would fit my playstyle.
gems, it's cheaper to make the higher level ones than to buy them straight up
Hey hey, i got some stuff with DEX on them, not intel.
But I just use it anyway because of attack speed.
So dumb. I need to get some gears, but I'm too sissy to buy something that's over 500k gold.
I finally have about 2mill but don't know how to spend it.

lol I haven't even been playing that much I wish I had time to play more. I play with guild members from other games, most are hardcore gamers so we fly though stuff. To get the Barb to 60 it only took me like 30hrs...maybe less. Currently has like 35 hours logged on it. Leveling alts goes super fast I beat normal on my Monk in like 6 hours or something because I have 3 stash pages full of rares left over from DH to gear him out every time I level up.
U can give me that 2 mill
UGH stupid login server is over loaded.
finally got in after like 5 tries of putting in my authenticator code (not including the numerous error 37 before even getting to that stage).

I played for an hour this morning!
Just finished solo-ing Act 1! I beat about 1/3 of Act 2 and came to work. The Act 2 isn't too bad so far. By the way, the Butcher was a joke. I think I'm going to do the 5 stack butcher run to farm up. I was just rushing the quest in Act 1.
Changed my skill build to arcane orb/mirror image/diamond skin/venom hydra/force weapon/force armor.
This thing feels better for inferno level. i can pretty much go back and forth with diamond skin and mirror image to increase the survivability.
With this build I don't really have to have super fast casting speed since AP gets out of juice with 5-6 arcane orb, so I'm thinking of sacrificing some of the attack speed to burst dmg.
