PS3, PS4, PC: Diablo 3
i was told that you really dont get much from the collectors edition, and its not worth the extra 40 bucks.
all you get is a few books, some dvd's and a usb drive.. doesnt give you any "specials" when you play online
Yes you do. Wings and dyes.
oh and this alone is worth it:
But I'm not trying to get anything special out of it. I just like the fact that it's the collector's edition. I've been a long time Blizzard fan, so I'm just trying to give them back something for their great work.

I hate the fact that they are trying to milk the revenue out of Starcraft series by dividing up the same damn game into 3 parts, but I kinda understand it.
Just ran the beta on my new computer with my new Samsung 55inch 3D LED TV.
IT'S AMAZING.
This is like one of the best $600 spent this year. yeeeeaaaahhhhh I'm such a geeeeeek

Watched my friend play it for a bit, he's been more excited for D3 than any other game in his entire life. Seemed fun, but I was too busy play Mass Effect 3 multiplayer
As soon as D3 comes out though, I'll hop on board

lol i had a hardcore demon hunter...luckily i didnt die. But i couldnt seem to find any 1 handed crossbow gun things. Couldnt craft any and nothing good dropped. I wonder if they took that out of the beta since I dual wielded some when the beta was closed.
Out of the 3 characters I tried during this open beta i'd say the demon hunter was the harder one, mainly due to the squishiness and weak weapons. trapping and stunning are pretty OP though. Kept stunning the king at the end.
also how many rares did you guys find? I only got 3: 2 for my barbarian and 1 for my hunter which wasnt even that good..

I can't say much about this open beta, but I did play the closed beta a lot last month.
The key with that closed beta was that if you make a new character and kill the skeleton king, you WILL get 1-2 rare items. After you kill him, you won't get any more rare items from the skeleton king.
So I probably created 15 different new characters and killled the skeleton king right away. I gather sooooo many rare items.
And I used them for my 2 main characters, a female mage and a female demon hunter. Then I basically crafted every item that can be had for level 13 from that guy in the town.
The game got boring after I got everything. haha
But you know, it's just a beta. I'm sure we will NEVER get bored of this game. We will be able to play this game probably more than 10 years.

I found tons of rares, once I got 2 from the SK and another time I found one in a barrel. That was randomly awesome.
1 handed crossbows were in the beta. They were awesome......dual wielding with increased attack speed = machine gun badass.
I also found that crafting my own items gave me better results than those that I found. I was surprised at the fact that you can craft rare items too! Should be tons of fun and wasted money :p
p.s. Every thing, character, skill, and weapon is OP in this game according to y'all :P

If you are a fan of this game, this should be a great read.
The developer of Diablo from Blizzard explain the differences between Diablo 2 and 3. It's LONG.

I dont know if it'll make any difference if you can get it tonight. If Blizzard's smart you wont be able to play the game since the content's controlled on the server side. yay for DRM.
lol nvm misread. But i'm not surprised if it'll be a midnight release..Don't worry guys, it's not like they'll run out..no need to wait in line anymore for games..

played beta and i'm undecided. it was fun. but not as much fun as i had playing d2 and lod expansion. and i'm not happy that the game is limited to 4 players.
i played dh first...had some trouble cuz i didn't know she could use bows/xbows...thought it was only 1h xbows. then i tried out monk, and wizard and beat the beta. went back to DH and finished SK...started a WD but didn't go through to the end. WD is quite boring. reminds me of necromancers a lot and they were super boring in the beginning too. i wish they let us get higher lvled...i wanted to see more skills than what we were allowed to use.

i'm not saying my beta experience was bad. it was good. it was more of a cock tease than anything. definitely could see myself investing tons of time into this game. i'm reading that developers long ass postings about the differences in d2 and d3...i'm starting to like d3 even more now. wallet is itching...my cc wants to be used...
yeah i have some little doubts about the new system before too. i didn't think it was going to be better than d2.
but after i read that long ass thread, it made so much sense. it WILL be MUCH better. it's like they just supercharged and turbocharged the D2.
