PS3, PS4, PC: Diablo 3
So Best Buy somehow managed to mess up the order couple more times, so I just cancelled their shit.
Just purchased the digital download from Battle.net. Downloading the game client right now.
Eff Best Buy.

wait what happened?
i want the hard copy not the downloaded version tho

your scaring me now. should i cancel mine too?
But then, I just got an email from them saying my order has been cancelled. I didn't bother to call them back.
I just said eff them and purchased the digital copy from Blizzard. $59.99 with no tax. Just got done downloading the game!

I believe you must purchase the digital copy from battle.net to download the game. Not sure though.
Well, yes.....sort of. To dl the client, you have to have purchased the digital copy, where you can DL the client now, and then wait till May 14th to dl the installer before playing it on the 15th.
For physical copies, you go through the nostalgia of inserting the disc and installing.
An alternative crazy people are doing are buying both the CE and digital copy, so that when the servers go online, they can play instantly, and then update their game with their CE key when it arrives in their hand, thus giving them all the CE cosmetic bonuses to use. If you've got extra money to spend, sure do it this way if you're that crazy.
Here's all the info you need: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/5338...-5_7_2012#blog
Maybe for a little bit. They did the beta testing for this, so they should be ready.
i think i'll wait for the reviews before considering buying it. I hope their servers can cope because they surely didnt during the open beta.
There are times even when WoW servers are overpopulated and have hundred long queues. It would be ridiculous if that happens for Diablo 3 SP.

Reviews?
You are like the first person who have said that. It's basically the supercharged and quad turbocharged version of Diablo 2.
If you are a fan of Diablo 2, you will love this one. If you don't like how Diablo 2 played out, you won't like it. It's that simple.
And Blizzard did an open beta to gauge the interest and properly react to the overpopulated situations. They aren't noob at this. They've been around way too long to not predict how many users are going to show up for the opening day and whatnot.
At least, that's the impression that I get from them.

i wouldn't be surprised if whoever did that to their home has a soulstone in their head...
i wanted to d/l the client and then install the game and input my key (from a retail copy) when i get it. lol was trying to save the time in between installing via disc and pre-installing. darn it.
tsxyluster, in that week that you'll be gone we'll all be on nightmare at least.

i'm either going demon hunter or wiz i think. depends on what my friends want to do.
actually fuck it...i'm gonna make one of every char and then decide which one suits my friends more.

For those of you wanting to pre-install the pre-installer before the actual install: (for both digital and dvd hard copies)

I will be taking the day off work. I played monk in beta, but I usually play dps casters/nukers in MMOs so I will probably like the wizard the best. I will definately play all the classes though.
I'm a female wizard guy. My main character is always a Wizard/caster.
I usually use this one main character to collect all the items for other characters. If I get enough good stuff for one other character, then I play that character with the good stuff waiting to be equipped.

you and me both.i'm so torn...i like the monk and demon hunter but i don't know which i like more! i was thinking that in inferno mode, close combat wouldn't be that great since they probably hit pretty hard but looking at the monks skills, it doesn't seem too bad
i should just flip a coin.
hunter characters always require more technique and skill, avoiding attacks and what not because they're so squish. If you want a challenge, do hunter. Historically from WoW, hunters usually do DPS matching those of wizard/mage classes.
Also close range and long range makes no difference in inferno mode. Enemies have been designed to have long range attacks in inferno for those players far away (that in any other difficulty, don't).

what's the deal with the "gamer tags" ? is that like your account name and then all characters have their unique name like D2?? it's a bit confusing. also you can only change your gamer tag once.
I think it's kinda like the username that we have for AZine.
I made it couple days ago along with that sigil or that flag shit.
I made my tag as JS + MS3. Very creative huh?
From my understanding, it's your main user ID for D3 account.

I never purchased a PC game before in my life but looking at reviews and people that are talking about it and all. I went out and preordered this game! So we all should get together and get this going when it is released!
the BattleTag is something new from Blizzard that they are making mandatory starting with D3......sad but whatever, it's not major.
Like JS said, it is like your username. You can think of it as a way to not have your email address blasted during public games for anyone to see and possibly exploit.
Sadly, you can only change it once after the initial creation, and then it is permanent, so choose your BattleTag wisely.
Each of your own character can be named whatever you choose, but the BattleTag is for others to identify you properly instead of keeping track of every new character name you create...... so you can easily chat/get in touch/recognize/respond to in forums with people simply by their BattleTag.
I'll be joining you guys when I hit Nightmare mode.
