PS3, PS4, PC: Diablo 3
I played for an hour this morning!
Just finished solo-ing Act 1! I beat about 1/3 of Act 2 and came to work. The Act 2 isn't too bad so far. By the way, the Butcher was a joke. I think I'm going to do the 5 stack butcher run to farm up. I was just rushing the quest in Act 1.
Changed my skill build to arcane orb/mirror image/diamond skin/venom hydra/force weapon/force armor.
This thing feels better for inferno level. i can pretty much go back and forth with diamond skin and mirror image to increase the survivability.
With this build I don't really have to have super fast casting speed since AP gets out of juice with 5-6 arcane orb, so I'm thinking of sacrificing some of the attack speed to burst dmg.

just played an hour at lunch time... HOW THE HELL DO YOU DEAL WITH INVULNERABLES? I still don't get the concept. It's like uh........ what do I do now????
All the other mobs including the elites have been alright with me so far, it's just that some of these invulnerable elites that I just can't kill. I just run away and skip them.
And it's too bad that most of my good rares with ALL RES are with DEX, not INT.... I could have dish out so much more dmg if they were INT.
Should I sell these items at AH and get the similar gears with INT instead?
I mean I don't really feel like I've got to pump up my ALL RES because I just gotta juke everything and not get hit. My hp is around 28k and with Force Armor and Diamond Skin, I can run around and kite most of the elites totally fine. What I need at this point is more damage. I'm at 27k right now with force weapon/glass canon, my 1H weapon has 750 dps and the off hand adds about 30-170 dps.
Should I just forget the other gears and get a HIGH dps 1H weapon and off hand source?

I mean it's not easy, you just have to micro really well.
If I make one mistake, I will die. So, if some people make a lot of mistake, they will die a lot of times over and over again.
I wouldn't mind some more dmg though. I really want to get one of those 1H weapon with 1000 dps, but don't feel like spending all my gold to get one. I'm too sissy.

I've got to stop looking around in AH... so tempted to get all these int/vit/all res armors... i only have like 180 all res right now
I heard getting it up to 400 makes a big difference.

to deal with invulnerables there's just one that's not protected by the invulnerability. You have to blast him down but it's pretty hard finding him in the crowd and it's easy to accidentally target a protected enemy. Once you kill him though the entire mob goes down.
^ Dude!
Thanks. Just killed my first elites with invulnerable affix.
It's kinda hard to kite while trying to aim at one specific elite though.
By the way, I'm just going to eff all resists and go for a pure DPS build. I can juke well but not enough DPS to burn them down fast.. It just takes too long to kill a pack of elites which allows me to possibly make more mistakes.. 30k damage isn't enough for Act 2 I guess.

I really hope that they don't ruin this game with BS patches like they do in WoW...
Patch 1 - You're OP
Patch 2 - You suck
Patch 3 - Getting better
Patch 4 - Oh, too good.. Now you suck again.
Patch 5 - About in the middle
Patch 6 - Oh.. Too good again. Back to the bottom you go
Patch 7 - You're OP again
Rinse & repeat

You guys should frequent diablo 3's website forum. They do have this trading subsection that's very active. People are legit. Most of the stuff on Auction House is ridiculously overpriced.
Playing as a ranged barbarian
In Act 2 in the fallen oasis and I'm now at the point where I'm saying "fuck this shit". Writhing deceivers suck
It's easier when my DH friend plays with but even then mobs hit way too hard and I don't have the templar to provide emergency stuns and heals for me. Barbs get 30% dmg reduction and with buffs up I have 4800 armor as well as 580-670 resistances.
I'm doing a good job kiting this rare elite skeleton guy with invulnerable minions, getting them stuck on terrain, using ancient spear to pull the elite to me and then wailing on him, smart use of stuns, leap, etc. and I have him down to like 12% health when his enrage timer kicks in asldkhfjklahrtkawhasiudyau9wio4rr9802qyjkhl
I need more vitality now it seems, only have 21k health. But does it really matter when an elite's minion hits me for 70-80% health? Back to farming act 1 I guess.

there's a rage timer, like WoW? never knew that..
time to use more defensive spells. I switched over to some more defensive spells like JS indicated (mirror image/diamond armor) and survivability went way up. I only have 10k hp and do just over 5k dmg. going through act II at the moment in hell.

Solo, if I die more than twice and have to corpse run back there's a high likelihood that the enrage timer will go off, even if I get there before the mobs health resets. You definitely need more defensive abilities in inferno. I only have one true spammable attack and the other two "attacks" are actually for healing/utility. If the utility attack didn't crit give me insane rits, I'd drop that for another defensive ability.

Just bought the same Andriel's Visage with 118 int / 57 str / 30 vit / IAS 13% / chance to crit 3% for 2 Million gold.....
so i sold mine for 4 and bought the one that i really wanted for 2 ....... PROFIT!

This guy was a barbarian. It's ridiculous, he just stands in front of Belial Phase 3 and types to me "just stay in the corner. you will get one shot from him. i got this."
He killed Belial by himself within like 3 mins.
Checked out gears and I think he probably has +100k hp easily. All his gears had almost +60 All Res/150 Str/150 Vit with those star shaped gems for more Vit. His weapon was this rare 1H hammer with 850dps and 3% life steal and he had almost perfectly rolled stat stormshield.
His battletag is Trigor#1601, if any of you want to have him help you out.

hahaha yeah, I just didn't want to waste my time shopping for the service. Just wanted to farm Act 3 from tonight.
Plus, I made 2 million gold profit yesterday, so I was just so pumped up for farming anyway. haha

WD is my only char. right now. I finished normal and started playing in open games for the next difficulty. I'm at lvl 35 right now. I'm trying to gear up as I can do some pretty good dmg if I can keep things off of me. WD is tough to spec right. Either you are made of glass and deal good dmg, or you are tough, or you have good crowd control + range attacks. I like playing with barbs because they can tank everything and I can unleash hell from afar.
Nice. I'll add you today.
By the way, I got a Tal Rasha's set chest armor in Act 3 inferno and sold it for 700k.
I would have certainly used it but the it had terrible stats on it. The market value for mine was around 600k in a forum, but I was hoping someone would pay a little bit more for it on AH.
Sold couple more items for +200k last night. I like the 5 stack butcher run in inferno. Pretty good rares with All Res that are always in demand.

Having so much fun with Trading forum. Made about 2.5 million gold by selling the stuff that i farmed from last night.
Some of the good Act 1 Inferno rare items give you about 2-400k gold each.

Add the seller as your friend, have him come into your game, use that "Trade" window to do the exchange.
You can open up the Trade window by right clicking the seller's icon on the top left corner.
I put my item into the trade window, he put the gold, then ACCEPT!
The trading forum is extremely active, you have to bump the thread every 30-60 seconds.
You'll know how to do it once you start looking through the threads. I just learned it myself 2 days ago too. It's easy.
