Finally beat Diablo on normal last night. Not very impressed with the loot he dropped, don't think i used any of it. My stash is getting full, need to post some stuff on the AH

 

How much do you guys pay for AS % gear? I'm trying to find a ring that has all resist, attack speed % and either crit chance and/or strength on it but they all go for around 600k minimum for a barely decent one.

I'm also considering just being patient and waiting to see how the upcoming IAS nerf changes things.

 

finally managed to solo butcher on inferno today. before i could tank him but my dps was so low his enrage timer would go off and rape me.

hooray.

barbs are still trash though, and im desperately awaiting 1.03

I dont have the time to farm massive amounts of gold, nor have i been lucky with drops so my equips arent awesome and sadly barbs are super gear dependant

who are the other barbs here going through inferno? costco? whats ur hp/res/armor/dps if you dont mind me askin?

I, like you, struggled mightily with inferno in act 1 as a tank. I gave it up and went to a weapon throw build so my stats are quite skewed.

I got a couple of pieces of new gear now but the gear is almost the same. Buffed I'm at 40.5% crit chance now, also using sprint + tornados for kiting.

on the contrary my DH friend can't hang in A2 because he gets one-shotted by most mobs. Meanwhile I've soloed all of inferno up to near the end of A3, stuck in the arreat crater area. Stupid soul lashers, hopefully 1.0.3 nerfs their damage indeed.

This guy's build seems to work really well too, but you need crit and LoH gear. Also, this build requires expensive gear.

 

One more thing. If this is a repost, sorry.

You guys should look into dark d3. If you're happy with the the color palette of D3, that's fine... but the sharpness enhancer makes a huge difference. It takes off the soft edges of pretty much everything from pieces of gear to cracks in the ground. Makes the game look great.

I personally went with the balanced version, but to each their own. You can even download an additional program that makes the item font look like the old D2 style.

i tried a shitty version of the ww build (bought all the gear for like 100k to attempt) and I wasnt too impressed and i didnt like running around so much, but itd probably be feasible with better gear if I tried. the price of LOH weapons are ridiculous though lately.

patch 1.03 will be great all around though, and in general, if they just reduced melee dmg that barbs/monks take by another 30% I think that would solve alot of problems

 

So I figured I would capitalize on all the guys with tons of money that are too impatient to wait for gear, sold 3 rares, high end rares made 700 bucks, this game is getting rather boring now oh well got my money back so i could care less anyways.

 

Yeah im farming a1 right now. the neph valor is cool but all the rares that are being dropped have crappy stats.

lol, my gear is not that good either. I have a 793dps 1h'er with a shield +48 resist all. I died at Izual like 8 times in a4 hell but he dropped a BK wedding band (no ias tho) so it was worth it .

yeah im working at the all resists. lvl 60 gear is so expensive! I do use impunity, i have 375 all res with that on. I was doing 16k dmg at one point but I had to sacarfice strength for all res.

I am pretty confident in a1 with my build. I did solo the butcher, I killed him on the first try! I opened up the game to the pub but no one was joining so I said what the hell lets try it, and I took the butcher out in 2-2.5 mins?

 

This is my barb's stats. It's super crappy as I just made one to be a tank for my wifey. She ended up being a crazy tank for me. LOL

I don't play this barb anymore since I'm progressing through the inferno level with my wizard along with my wife's monk.

But I did fine in act 1 with this stats. Pretty damn low as I didn't spend a dime on the gears. Everything was the crappy leftover from my wizard farming.

My skills are frenzy/war cry/berserker/leap/ignore pain/revenge.

 

This is my wizard stats. Currently farming siegebreaker. It's tough. Some champions I just can't deal with, so I just skip them and move on. No point of wasting time. I still die pretty frequently mostly because of microing mistake.

My goal is to stack more dmg from now on. With forced weapon, my dmg jumps up to 50k, but I want it to be around 100k, which is pretty doable with some crit dmg stats. I don't have any crit dmg on any of my gears, so I'm going to try to upgrade some of the items soon. I have about 7 million gold including my wife's, so hopefully that will give me some cool upgrades.

By the way, i'm running around with 25% movement speed and that helped me out a lot for kiting.

I'm going to have to bring up the all res to about 300. I never get 1 shotted in any of the acts in Inferno level but would like to be a little bit more tanky.

I'd say you should be fine for A1, you need more LoH to tank IMO. You have high attack/sec as is, imagine if you had life on hit as well.

I think they just need to tweak the mechanics. Remove enrage timer on invulnerable minion mobs, nerf champion mob damage just a bit so they don't one shot DHs and 3-4 shot melee.

 

Sold really good DH gloves for $175. Win.

found a barb helm and a quiver last night and sold them for 2.1mil. yay. then bought a fast fist for wife's monk for 1.5mil.

 

found a legendary 2h MF weapon called Blade of Prophecy anyone wanna tell me how much it worth dmg is 332.2 with 7% life 25% MF 3.6 % stun on hit 1 socket and 35% increased on critical hits

 

seems like on AH it goes for a lot but theres so many different ones

That happens for any legendary items. Anybody can list any items for 100million in AH because they can. Nobody would actually purchase those items though. I have like 5 legendary items that worth almost nothing. I just keep it because they are cute. haha

Some of the legendary items certainly worth A LOT though such as stormshield, andy's visage, string of ears, lacuni prawlers, etc.

Just keep it as a prize bro! haha

Didn't update last night but I'm finally in Act 4, didn't think it could get worse than soul rippers/lashers. Oppressors are lame. But weapon throw + stupefy rune was legit in A3. Loved seeing elites take off 1/3 health of their buddies when confused.

 

No. Do NOT hold on to legendaries.

Yes, legendary items as a whole are getting buffed in a future patch, BUT it will not be retroactive. AKA, your current legendary items will not magically have improved stats. Only legendary items you find after the patch will be better.

but I currently have 3 60s 4th almost 60

current 3 60s can cake walk act1 inferno to the end and die in 1-3 shots from anything in act2

which char will be simply cheese after the patch so i can choose one char to dump money into

i'm holdingo ff from proceeding since it is about a mil per piece to proceed act2

 

Sold my first item on the RMAH for $1.70 after fees. Hell yes, 1/4 of a lunch.

 

 

btw, act 2 drops some cool rares. my wife and i got some good luck over the weekend. we only play like 4-5 hours total for 3 days, and i sold most of the good rares on the forum for total 5 million gold. it was a pretty quick sales too.

Currently saved up about 11mil to get a new weapon for my wizard. I think I'm gong to just save up more til the new patch arrives and buy something. I can still farm act 2 with no problem with this crappy axe that i had in my stash.

There are so many things that I want to buy for my wizard, but the very first upgrade will be the weapon.

oh yeah, i farm the madgah? is this the correct name? that weird lady that pops up in almost every quest in act 1? so annoying.
