first, this is an emotional post, no technical content here. but for a pay2win game like D3, there's no technique worth discussion at all, IMO.

this is post is mainly abusing and complaining. if you are a blizz fanboy insisting that whatever trash game blizz made, you will still support them, just like supporting your favorite stars, even if they behavior as animals, then you'd better not read this post which will make you upset and angry.

for those who will say "if you don't like this game, just go away.", i'd like to reply, i bought this game, i decide how to enjoy this game. slain by monsters everyday is not fun for me, so i'm currently enjoying this game by abusing and complaining about it.

i have played this game for 2 months. struggled to bring my 2 chars to lv60. as blizzard said, the game begins from here. all skills and difficulty levels are unlocked. after experienced inferno, i found that i am the monster in this game. those monsters are the players who paid for this game. i think they must be having fun. they maybe smiling when they saw me logged in. when i was killed, i always imagine that 3 elites are sitting on the ground and smoking. one said to another "do you think that S** OF B**** will come again? he has died hundreds of time but still keep coming. he's really a B****. i'm bored killing him.". another elite will say"you know, he's a super B****". the last elite will say"you guys just sit here, have a break. i will show you how i one shoot the S** of B****". then a heavy armored barb showed up, still out of breath. but before he can do any attack he become a small cross on the ground again. F***, i say. and feel vacuous.

difficulty?
i'm curious what's your definition of difficulty, blizz! are you seriously thinking that increase monsters' hp and increase monsters' damage is the way to increase difficulty? blizz made a blue post saying that if you died a lot, it means you are undergeared. i'd want to reply:"F**** your M*****", seriously. if godly geared, even my 8-months-old daughter can clear this game by spamming left click. you call this difficulty? or your difficulty is only to those who don't have OR don't want to use money on RMAH? the design of the drop rate is ridiculous. what you can get in ACT1 can't help you clear ACT1 which means even you farm 100 years you can't clear inferno if you don't use AH. I've already paid for my game, why should i pay more on AH to enjoy this game? if you don't want to use money on RMAH, sorry, the gate of inferno is closed to you. but, is inferno that important? you will see the same contents which you have seen hundreds times! nothing new in inferno. the story is the same! the dialogs are the same! the only new stuff is the high ilvl items. but, even if you can faceroll inferno, what will happen? smash and revenge the elites that once laught at you? but i wanna shout to ask, is this fun? this fun? fun?

why powerlevel is not legit?
i want to ask you narcissism devs, are you really so cofident that believe players would be glad to watch the stories, cinimatic hundreds times, like drunk?? you think your story is a B.I.B.L.E? i'd like to power level my character to lv60 by killing monsters, why couldn't i? why you nerf EXP when repeat a quest? because your garbage server can't afford people create games repeatedly? some people like to walk into every corner on the map, but others would like to level efficiently. that's players freedom. you can't tell players how to play. suppose i bought a wash machine, i'd like to put rice in it, and i think it's cool, why can't i? even some people may think i'm an idiot, but i still can do it, am i? you can't lock my wash machine remotely when i do this! it's none of your bussiness! i bought the wash machine, i decide how to use it! that's called liberty, you americans understand liberty better than i do, don't ask me to teach you what the liberty is! if you really understand what players need, you should provide some place for power level. even make an achievment called power level. this will be fun for some people. tortured by monsters until pee-poo out of control is not fun!

why increase repair bill?
It doesn't make any sense. if i can't beat a monster, why can't i simple choose die? now you are punishing people for dying. can't you be more reasonable? be reasonable will not make you P.R.E.G.N.A.N.T! you said, you don't want players zerg. another "you don't want", eh? i'm undergeared, i don't want to use real money, i'd like zerg, why does it matter? i'm proud of myself if i can clear the act by zerging! why can't i? the only way left to me is the RMAH. I would advise you opening a supermarket rather than a game company.

why servers are so crap?
i totally can't understand. i'm IT related. when the development of a system is done, the number of simultaneous links of the system is the most important statics we will check out. you should have done it, aren't you? if your servers are not capable of the number, why you still selling you copies? you still sell the game even when you know that some of the players can't login or having lantency issues. can i think this is cheating? some will say, there are so many chinese farmers here that make the game laggy. F*** u. there's nothing to do with it. if your server are capable of the number of people who bought your game, you should not have any lag issues.

LAST, i want to say:
i don't know whether you have a DAYE, blizz. but whether you have or not, i'd say F*** your DAYE. do you know DAYE? let me explain you, DAYE is your father's brother, yes, you american call him uncle. so, F*** your uncle. you maybe confused why F*** uncle as there are mother, sisters there. let me teach you again, and remeber it: it's called LIBERTY! in your blues, "we don't want" this, "we don't want" that. don't want players farm pots/vases, don't want players farm bosses repeatedly, don't want players power level, but do you know, 1000 people will have 1000 ways to have fun. there's a chinese saying: your cuisine may others poison. i like farm pot, even only 1 gold drops from a pot, i will still farm it anyway for nothing just to hear the crisp sound. this is a superb playing style that you can't understand. you made us unable to afford dying, then nerfed gold farming spot. i'd ask what do you want to do? are you guys just want to torture players for fun? just like the Development And Reform Committee in our country who will say "wow, these days are so peaceful, let's markup the gasolin price!". you guys say"wow, lets see how will these S** of B**** be if we nerf both weapons damage and monsters HP to its half!", "add rage timer see whether these S*** of B**** can handle it or not!" the other day.

Blizz, do you know why D3 can sell so good? that's for the sake of D2, that's for the sake of millions people like the Diablo franchise, that's for the sake of we 30's memories. if this game is not released by the name Diablo, it will be nothing than a S***. just like those popup ads on web sites, a semi-n.a.k.e.d loli saying "hi, click me, i will become a monster. register now, you will get 1billion gold!! yes, 1 billion gold, not 1 billion S***M".

Those are some legit complaints about the game. Some of the affixes before were just stupid. Ramping up difficulty by increasing mobs health and damage done is just lazy. I understand Blizz wants to have fights that are never the same, but it gets old. The story is just meh to me as well.

The increased repair cost is to prevent players from death zerging to progress. I know this because I am well out of my league in A4 and shouldn't have gotten there in the first place.

The game is a work in progress, I've read that D2 pre-expansion was shit, and towards the end of its life was plagued by dupers. I think some of the fixes they're making are just band-aids until the big fixes come. Servers really are mediocre, I might add. Biggest thing holding me back from making a hardcore character.

To be fair I asked my friends' opinions on this game, and they played Diablo II (though they were middle schoolers/high schoolers at the time) and they say preordered and really enjoy D3, and are still playing it today.

I am having fun as well, if I get bored I just play on my other toon and the game is fun again. It really is that simple though, if you no longer have fun then play something else. As another character or even another game. I don't get why some people invest in QQing so much for a game they no longer enjoy. Make your pleas but understand that Blizzard is catering to the masses not just a few whiners. There are hundreds of other recent games out there to play.

 

The only flaw in that guy's rant is that Blizzard never said the game begins at Inferno. They did say it begins at Nightmare, which is true since Normal's difficulty is equal to that of a crap facebook game.

The whole increase repair bill was really the stupidest thing ever. They should've just left Inferno's difficulty at it's original setting and tell people to STFU since Inferno was not made to be beaten in a few weeks. Dude even said they ramped up its difficulty by 10 just to make sure it doesn't become too easily beaten. But by reducing it's difficulty and increasing the repair bills, they really just effed up all the casual players.

Ultimately, most people don't realize that Blizzard is now Activision Blizzard and Activision's main goal is to make money, so patching the game towards RMAH is what they will do.

currently doing 1/2 no sweat, walling at 3; 15k DPS, 58khp, 10k+ armor and 9xx+ res buffed

 

TBH my gear hasn't changed much, plus I gotta go to work early so no firing up the comp til later. Your defenses are much much higher than mine. I'm at ~5600 armor, 870 all resist, 34k health. 33.5k dps but with wrath of the berserker up and a 5stack of frenzy + maniac my dps shoots to 111k for a bit. I kept most of my gear, just found a 990 dps 2h with ~480 LoH, 130 vitality, 66% crit damage as well as a 60% crit dmg gem.

I could 2H A3 but it is too grueling, I don't have enough armor. I'm farming A2 easily for now, don't even pay attention to affixes. My goal is to save up and get more strength items for the armor and dmg.

 

My barb was my latest char to hit 60 and quickest to progress thru inferno my 3 other 60s became high lvl mules

I put the wep to the side because it blocks stats, just do simple addition yourself for the crit dmg %
22xxx base dmg no buffs at all

I am also in the same boat as you guys, I can proceed act3 if I micro the shit out of the char and die a few times... which I do not want to do of course

And also after seeing some gw2 stuff is making me want to get it very badly

its frustrating not being scratched in a1/a2 and then hitting a massive wa3ll.

i THINK i should be able to do if i raise my DPS to ~20k, but to do that I think i need to switch to crit gear, and regearing myself to crit specs will cost me like 5~ mil (and ill lose stats that arent crit) and i dont know if thatll be worth the time to earn that money.

Id just be crossing my fingers that when everything is done adding up the new crit chance + crit dmg will give me better DPS than i have now with my current weapon

 

anyone see that link on reddit with like half of the player base leaving on d3? Game's pretty much done.

 

One thing that stands out - no life per sec/hit/kill.

If you can, try to get a weapon with a socket. Its more versatile as you can add a LoH gem or a crit dmg one. And what skills are you using?

even when the game was going "well" there were only like 22k in public games (i know there are private games). Now it was like 2.5k as of last night, and that's pretty piss poor for the entire US region. lool gold farmers and botters ruined the game. Created crazy inflation while Blizzard removed revenue sources (vases, etc) and charged up the ass for repairs. Both killed the game for us casual players.

Luckily they halved the wear/tear repair cost.

now i'm just waiting to see how TL2 is.

 

Farmers existed in pretty much all the games (D1, D2, D3 WOW, SC....)

It is expected and with the price people are asking for some of the items, how many times do you to play for a 10 mill weapon or amulet?

So Blizzard should have incorporate gold farming and certain runs into their game, instead of punish pretty much everyone for it.

Right now my wizard is in A3, 35k dps, 35k health and 1000 resis with 1 buff and 6k armor. My repair cost > the gold i pick up

So now i have to go back to act 1 just to get gold. Do you really expect me to go from Quest 1 to Butcher all over again just for gold?

I am sick of these quest already. Farming is more fun than the actual game and it has been only a little over a month since the game is out.

How are you going to get the $250 USD weapon or the $25 million gold weapon without farming? So they pretty much force you to buy it from RMAH, which i absolutely despite.

i'd rather farm for weapon and gold than spending 1c in RMAH, at least i "play" for my shit. You don't even have to play with RMAH. I Farmed 3 days for items and nothing. All you have to do is deposit $ into blizzard acct and bam, you got what you wanted in 1 sec.

So RMAH defeats the whole purpose of the game, Farming does not.

The fact that Act 1 Inferno doesn't drop good enough weapons to even let you progress through Act 1 Inferno is a testament to how badly they want you to use the AH.

The gold punishment on deaths is what put the nail in the coffin for me - for Wizards and DH, most things one shot you in Act 3, so a few hours of farming (with lets say 20 deaths) suddenly is a loss of 100-200k gold.

Not worth it, IMO. Basically (yo dawg) you have to grind, to be able to grind, because the end-game is all about grinding.

 

Exactly my sentiments! I can try act 2 but i'll die several times (stuck about half way through act II). Revert to act 1 to farm for gold and for the what, 4% chance drop of something decent (ilvl 62-63)?

oor spend hundreds of thousands of gold that isnt too easy to come by for a non farmer/botter on the AH for something better or use the RMAH (screw that).

casual players have been pigeonholed into farming act 1 or using massive amounts of gold (spending hours farming)/or giving up and using $$.

at least i got my game for $55.

kind of pissed at my friend for being one of the farmers, but all things considered I would've done the same if i had the resources. He was farming 120 million gold a day, and selling that to bulk gold buyers and making over 100/hr USD. eff this game and eff blizzard. It's like they have no direction of what this game should be anymore.

Sold my game/account with DH no items for $100. Sold items in Auction House and made $361. So at least I made $461 on a $65 game.

 

Every game has haters who just non stop crying over every little detail.

I know Blizzard did some stupid crap, so they should get flamed for those.

BUT it's been fun and will be fun playing this for at least couple more years in my opinion.

I actually want all these whiners to quit, so we don't have to listen to all these QQing threads every day.

Some people just take things way too seriously. It's a freaking game after all. Don't get too caught up with it. Just beat the crap out of the mobs. Relieve your stress doing it.

If you are not capable of downing the mobs without dying like 10 times, you just aren't in the right act. Just move down the act and have fun farming.

I personally do not like the idea of trading in real $ though. It's just a game. Really, a computer game.

 

^ I agree to an extent - tons of QQ over this game in the official forums, most of which are probably unwarranted. But the following ones I do agree with:

1. Changing item stats after the launch of RMAH is a terrible idea - people who paid actual money for items with IAS are in the same position (probably worse actually) as people who bought into Facebook stock the second it went public.

2. No PvP/Endgame - Nuff said.

Its still fun to play though, especially since all of my college buddies and I get to play together, and once ladders/pvp comes out it'll be better.

JS+MS3 - you should carry me through Act 3 inferno, cause I'm getting owned left and right.

 

I completely understand people who were affected by your point number 1. I would be fking pissed off as hell to spend like 500 bucks on couple godly rolled IAS items right before the nerf.

However, just about everyone knew about the IAS nerf about a week before the patch. Blizzard posted the official linky about it.

It's still pretty damn shady that Blizzard launched the RMAH right before the patch though.

I've been having fun speed farming act 1 these days. Haven't really gone up to higher acts for like a week. lol It's just fun to get tons of iLvl63 levels in Act 1 after the patch.

My wife's monk is pretty loaded now though. She can solo Act 3 pretty good.

I'm now trying to gear my barb. I had completely lost interested in Barbarians, but for some reason, it's super fun nowadays.

 

What's your battletag? Did we already add each other? We should play together sometimes. I play with DIZAZNDOOD everyday. LOL

Wife's monk is soooo fun to play. The reason why I'm into my Barb now is the fact that I've been playing her monk for fun a lot.

It's just.... so fun to facetank a lot of stuff. Having about 1200 LOH is awesome. And no, I didn't spend millions and millions to get this level of LOH with all the other stuff. I farmed and picked up most of her monk items in Act 1 inferno. And some of the stuff that I bought for her were probably less than 3 million gold all total. It's all about finding the deals in AH.

Ah... those 1d 11h-12h item deals... Love it.

There's a HUGE difference between throwing some virtual spectral blade and completely beating the crap out of the mobs with 2 swords and axes like crazy monkey.

 

Yes. PvP will be patched for us in the future. Don't know how long it will take though.

My god... just got some advice from monk forum on wife's monk...

Changed couple skills and bought 3 new gears for less than 1 million gold total...

The act 3 is now on comfortable farm status.

All resistance is over 900 with buff and 7k armor which goes up to +9k with a skill. dual wield set up with 23k dps plus +1300 LOH and 3% life steal.

Monks are fun!

 

just started a monk out of boredom yesterday. pretty fun. i'm lvl 20 only but i think i might make it my second lvl 60 char...next closest was my wiz at 41 but i was just getting power leveled by my bro. monk i might just do myself through quests and shit. JS i will be asking you for monk advice as i progress.

 

I can definitely give you some advice on the monk builds. I've read a lot about them. haha

Let me know if you'd like to be an offensive or defensive monk later in the Inferno level.

Btw, I just rolled a DH yesterday. Wife started a Witch Doctor. We are both lvl 37 in nightmare act 3. Having lots of higher level gems make the progression so much, much easier.

 

Just yesterday? holy crap dude.

I put in a 21% bonus exp gem in my helm and picked up a few +exp pieces of gear, still only at 42 after a few days.

 

er by a few days I mean like playing for 7-8 days on this toon.

 

Really? I played with my wife and her brother. We played total 6 hours and got up to lvl 37! We just breeze through everything since we bought couple cheap gears with a lot of gems. So, most of the time, we are like wrecking everything in front of us while progressing.

And this is the stats of my wife's monk. I had to screen capture these for the monk forum. I was asking for help on how to improve. haha

the String of Ears (dex/vit/loh/15% melee reduction) in the inventory is just for the melee elite packs and bosses.

My friend just gave me 2 fist weapons for free.... haha

The bottom ones are the ones that I've been using, and the top ones are the ones that my friend gave to me. Gotta test out the combos and pick the best ones tonight.
