i'm a dh...and i think my damage is high so whenever i shoot like 3 or 4 nether tentacles, i'm flashing red and about to die. if they're in my caltrops, i'm dying superfast...sigh

closest thing for even an minimum level 54 is a 315 dps spear with 100 str, 50 vit, IAS and a socket for 500k. At its own level the highest DPS 1h does 180.

and to think, I nearly salvaged this crap.

 

I always have trouble selling items like this. I have a lvl 51 2h sword with 683 damage and it won't even sell for 1m!

 

lame. Maybe I'll just set it at like 800k buyout and go from there.

honestly it's not going to sell for that much. unless a weapon is end game damage, all others won't sell for a lot cuz you'll just be upgrading soon after you hit 60 anyway and that sword, while good for its level, is not good at 60.

683 damage is not very high. not when there's 1k+ damage weapons out there. i'd throw that on to your follower if you use one. enchantress can use it.

 

My computer took a shit, so fuck if I know when I will get to play again.

I'm actually pretty sure its the power supply, but I don't really want to throw money at a problem that i'm not even 100% sure is the problem.

Always salvage the weapon that's not above 800 dps. Even 800 dps is pretty low to be sold at a decent price unless it has Life on Hit stat.

Almost done with Act 2 with my wife. I've been doing a siegebreaker run for couple days, but then I wanted to go through the quest with my wife so. The Act 2 is certainly challenging and annoying, but I really want to get through everything in Inferno with wifey. We would need to upgrade our gears massively to go through everything though.

Just bought a rare fist for wife's monk, and I was THIS close to buy this stormshied for her for about 5 million but didn't do it as I think I can a better stat one for the same gold soon.

By the way, me and my wife played about 7-8 hours for the weekend together and we made about 5 million gold total. Got couple items that were sold for more than 500k. Lucky!

And I found this rare ammy with dex/vit/4% damage reduction for melee/4% damage reduction for ranged. Never seen something like this anywhere. I put it on the monk.

 

ugh i'm so jelly of you and your drops. i've been doing goblin runs in act 2 and butcher runs. barely anything good. got ivory tower, tal rasha's belt and some other belts that are decent. except my brother and friends take all my drops and i get nothing in return cuz nothing worthwhile for a DH ever drops. FUCKKKKKKKKK

salvage anything that's lvl 60...anything below that i just sell to the merch. i'm filled up on essences and tooth, hooves etc...wasting my space right now.

 

I've noticed that Act 2 definitely gives out higher end rares. Most of them are craps, but when they are good ones, it's really good. This thing applies to Act 3 as well. Most of the stuff that I got from the siegebreaker runs are crap, but when they are good, they are GOOD.

ugh i need to rush through act 2 but the thought of dying so much is depressing. might just leave sharpshooter on and wait for my 100% crits for each section so then i can kill them all. why must act 2 be so long...fuckkkkk

 

The Act 1 runs does drop some decent stuff though. I got a lot of gears for my wizard, barb, and wifey's monk from the Act 1 runs.

Some stuff that I didn't need for any of our characters, I sold them via AH and trading forum. Some of these items were sold for +500k gold per piece. So, that gave me good boosts on my gold reserve. Now I'm going to focus on upgrading my wizard gears and wifey's monk gears, so that we will be able to get through all acts on inferno level. Should be fun!

 

I feel like such a newb, still working my way through normal. Was going to try to finish up act 4 this morning but my internet kept flaking out. AT least i saw the trucks I'm the neighborhood when i left for work. Maybe tonight.

 

Cant wait for the new patch to come out ACT II is just too damn hard for me

 

i'm about to tackle act 2 inf tonight. i'm gonna go super slow and strategic. i can 1hko or 2/3kho most of the things but only if they don't hit me first...lol those fucking bugs that shoot shit at you are the worst.

Blizzard's D3 servers has had some fantastic lag spikes over the past 2 nights at least. Feel sorry for those HC characters that died because of that. I know my SC characters died a few times because of it.

A friend put a theory up that whenever that happens large groups of players are either being banned or blizz is installing some hotfixes (updates with the severs online). Banning doesnt sound too far fetched as I got spammed with 2 friend requests from bots overnight.

And the AH is inflating like a balloon cause of bot farmers.. Totally predictable.

 

Bought a pair of boots for wife's monk.

This boots changed her monk A LOT! She's a fire res monk, so that single item added a lot of crazy stats. +110 all res/+1500hp/+3500dmg/+450armor. Paid 900k gold for it off AH.

Act 2 Inferno is almost done. I think I have more fun playing this monk than i have with my wizard.

p.s. I have confirmed reports that cheaters are already being banned. Seems that Blizzard was just keeping a log of people cheating before issuing waves of the banhammer. Even those that are doing the gold dupe via AH. Gotta say, all those people thinking they outsmarted Blizzard are probably angry and raging now.

 

It's weird.. RMAH will be available in 3 days for the people who bought the game off the blizzard website.

 

so far seems like $1 = 10,000 gold.

I'm sure the prices will keep rising until it hits the stupidity point.

might make a monk if i get tired of my DH. they seem pretty fun. i have a wiz and wd but wiz is bleh to me...wd seems okay but i think i need a melee class

 

Monk is very fun until you hit the mid 50s...... then you start to realize how much gear plays the most role in that class and why people jack up the prices for monk gear in AH. 2.5million gets you below avg gear.

No, it was definitely my internet. The cable light on my modem was out. It was back when i got home though. Made it to Diablo, but died twice. Got him down to half the first time and died I'm the shadow realm. Died pretty quickly the second time, but i think i dozed off

Didn't spend much gold on wife's monk. Most of the stuff that she has on are from my farming. And her monk is almost done with Act 2.

 

I mean if my wife can play a monk in an inferno level fine, I'm sure most of the guy gamers will be able to play the monks in the inferno level too.

 

lol. I've never used AH for my monk, but then again I'm not all the way in Inferno either. But the horror stories from people playing monk in inferno are........ quite entertaining to say, the least.

apparently people were duplicating gold on AH, it was so bad on the asian servers they had to roll back the database do fix it. One guy had over a billion gold.

apparently hotfix installs were a partial reason for massive lag. Unfortunately HC characters suffered because of it.

apparently someone over at blizzard needs to learn how economics work. The more game gold in AH, the more is needed for the equivalent US dollar. The lower the value of in game gold is with apparently billions in circulation.

On another note, a friend sold a bow for $175 today.

 

That's dumb because people in the trading forum are actually selling 1 million ingame gold for $7 via paypal.

People who drop $250 are completely dumbasses. They are probably bad at microing that the items will not get them through the inferno level.

 

It wasn't gold. Some Korean players managed to dupe the full items and got caught. And they got caught because they posted the video of how to dupe items on D3 or something like that. I watched the video and it was insane, it was just like D2 days.

So, I think it was Sunday, the Asian server was completely closed down so that Blizzard could crack down on who/where it was being done. Blizzard just banned thousands of players for cheating just today I think.

 

Im in act 2 inferno with my barb. 12k dps,30k vit. and 250 all resists. I get killed within 10 secs of meeting an elite pack. I'm thinking of giving up and making a dh.

 

Just beat the Belial with my wife. We both died once and beat him.

God, the Act 2 is annoying.

 

Can't believe you actually survived 10 seconds with that stats. Go farm Hell act 3 or Inferno act 1.

 

look at my previous posts about the throwing barb build. It has worked for me fairly well. If not you'll probably need at least 800 resist all. War cry + impunity helps. All resist is much more important than vitality, though vitality itself is good too for those %-based heals.


can't believe to RMAH prices, saw it while I was at a friend's house.

That said a guy on reddit said he made about $5k back when he sold items in D2 before the 1.0.9 patch that made high-end items drop much more often. He said most people who bought them were very wealthy and didn't have much time to play, but wanted to get the most out of that time. Can't said I blame them, though I still wouldn't do it myself unless it was strictly for PvP or something. All it takes is for another item to come along to make it obsolete...

 

i'm surprised you got through act 1 with those stats. as a barb with 30k life and only 250 resists...seems pretty rough. did you solo butcher?

 

Bought a string of ears with 15%DR/20dex/20int/15fire res/15all res/80LOH for 1 million gold. It was a steal since something with this stats easily goes upward of 1.5 million for sure. Getting ready for Act 3. It's going to be tough on her monk.

 

Finally up to diablo on nightmare - this guy sucks - anyone want to help me destroy him?
