PS3, PS4, PC: Diablo 3
damn forgot to check this thread in a few days.
I don't know my battle tag off hand, will have to post tonight. I will add you guys that posted their tags. Edit: Ace#1241.
I have level 70 Demon Hunter, I think I am around Paragon 30. Just beat the quest part, now working on the adventuring and rift stuff. I'm on Torment 1, but need better gear. Found 4 legendaries last night so they are definitely dropping a lot more. Could use a better bow and armor though.
Still getting back into it after a year hiatus. My account was hacked (isn't everybody's??) and I just got it back. Some idiot actually made a new character but thank god they didn't delete my lvl 60 at the time. too funny.

Yeah, it's almost impossible to get hacked if you have the authenticator.

This is something I noticed on my barb, but others have noticed it with their crusaders and monks as well. Damage seems to be lacking on the melee classes. I tried a 2H, two 1H, 1H with shield... the two 1H give me the most damage.
Even without archon mode, my wizard took less time to gear up, and she's doing T1 EASILY. With all buffs up (passive gives more armor, resistance, damage when you don't move for 1.5s) she has a resting damage of 500k, with toughness at 7.7m.
Even with a shield, my barb is barely at 7.5m. 300k damage
I have more legendaries on my barb too. Still using a lvl 61 ring on my wiz, at that.
I haven't played other classes so I can't say for certain, but (improved) archon is borderline broken. The damage bonus stacks with each enemy you kill, and at one point I had 38 stacks, and my damage was at 1.35m.

T2 is getting a little too easy now.

Sheet DPS and Toughness are very misleading.
People who are super effective in game are geared up with +% dmg to skill modifiers. It's very possible to stack +60% dmg to certain skill or elemental skill.
As for the Toughness, just stacking Vital/Life%/Dodge don't do much against the ground effects by elites. The effective toughness really is the amount of damage mitigation you get from All Res and Armor. And without Healing, Toughness is not very effective.
I'll add you guys tonight! Wish I have more time to play.

^yeah... I picked up a Stone of Jordan which gives me +29% dmg to elites. and a ring that reduces damage done by elites by 10%. I stacked some damage to skills too.
Nevermind fire chains, I need to kite more in my barb regardless. I spent more time and money gearing him up. Good rolls on both of my weapons, enchanted several stats to optimize my DPS and survivability and he stil can't stand in place and wreck shit like my wizard does.

Wiz is likely the best char for higher Torment at the moment. It's the easiest to gear it up, that's no doubt. Other chars take more gears and more thought in the build to do the same.

That is why i am focusing on attack speed + Life per hit + all resis.
My theory is if i can leech back everything i lost then i would not die.
as for as DPS, i am going another route. instead of focusing on % against elite/area dmg, i still try to get 50+% crit chance with high crit dmg + attackspeed.
My wizard's gear isn't as good as yours but my toughness is high too. All my resistances are in the 1000s just about, highest being 1200 or so. Thanks to intelligence.
It just worked out that way but life per second works great on my barb. I have a couple of skills that heal me as I use my resource, so against elites my health fluctuates from 50-100% back and forth.
I can't remember the exact numbers but I ran a cheese barb build back before they toned down inferno's difficulty. I rarely died, playing weapon throw + sprint barb. My crit rate was in the 40s and the damage was like 350%. It worked REALLY well. I'm going for the same thing on my wizard.

My resis without passive are all over 1500 and armor is around 6000 (close to 70% dmg reduction)
i noticed something last night 400 armor offers more toughness than 100 all resis and armor reduces ALL dmg. So it seems armor is more important than resis.
GIANT 2.04 update today!
Looks like Crusaders are getting buffs, and also some nerfs (God Rifle is now less godly :/) But mostly buffs.
Barbarian, Witch Doctor, and Demon Hunter also get some buffs.
Tons of other changes too...

Demon Hunter
Philosophy
Many skills that spend Hatred feel great, but when it comes time to generate Hatred the single-target options don't feel meaty compared to the generators that can hit more than one target at a time. As a result, we are increasing the potency of a few single-target generators to be more competitive.
Active Skills
Evasive Fire
Increased base middle shot damage from 160% to 200% weapon damage
Increased base side shot damage from 80% to 100% weapon damage
Skill Rune - Covering Fire
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug causing the side shot damage to be lower than the amount listed
Increased the damage of the side shots from 160% to 200% weapon damage
Increased the range of the side shots from 50% to 80% to match the range of the middle shot
Hungering Arrow
Increased base damage from 125% to 155% weapon damage
Sentry
Skill Rune - Guardian Turret
The damage reduction from this rune will now be reflected in the Toughness display

Ah, it's a blizzard patch and people will QQ. Including me
Level 70 crafted sets no longer require Flawless Royal gems and instead now require Marquise gems
OWNED! haha
Much happier with my barb now. Just need to refine some things, but he's now much more mobile, and hits like a truck! At the expense of squishyness, but it keeps things interesting.
The buffs weren't huge, but as someone mentioned, I think you really need to socket your weapons. I only have one socketed with a 120% crit dmg gem. Imagine if the other was socketed too
Video I watched showed a guy with 33% crit rate and 500% crit damage! Need more legendaries.

It is just "fake dps"

Should I regret adding you?
