Ordering another pair of AirPods Pro and getting AppleCare+ on them. There's an issue with the design, they're fragile on the inside, if they get dropped too much something on the inside (sounds like the speaker breaks loose from its mount) breaks and starts vibrating and it eventually gets bad enough that all you hear is the vibration and buzzing.
Yeah the lid on my case is messed up too, it works but it ain't what it used to be. I beat my Airpods up, they've fallen out while riding my Onewheel at 16mph, and if I ever wreck on my Onewheel they're going flying, they've got knicks in them from all the times they've hit the road. Actually, I wonder if they'd even cover me under the replacement program since they're so beat up looking.
I got an app alert to replace the battery in my AirTag this morning. I followed the steps shown in the app to replace it with a new CR2032 but it didn't work...
I found the KB article on their website and in it it warns "CR2032 batteries with bitterant coatings might not work with AirTag or other battery-powered products, depending on the alignment of the coating in relation to the battery contacts."
That warning wasn't in the app. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211670
I happened to have a CR2032 from a dead PC in my house, AirTag fired up when I put that one in, but the 4 PC of Duracell CR2032s I bought from the store isn't going to work because they have the bitterant. Maybe there's a way to remove the coating...
You can use Isopropyl Alcohol and a Q-tip to scrub off the bitterant coating that's on the negative side of the battery. You can see it in the light, there's a clear coating around the edge of the battery. Once it's scrubbed off it works
so my right AirPod Pro just started the static crackling noise
Interestingly turning off Noise Control (Neither ANC nor Transparency mode turned on) remedies the issue for now.
guess I’ll need to clean them and take them to the Apple Store
Thanks Stunna!

Mine came with the newer MagSafe compatible case so hopefully I’m not affected
So finally got around to exchanging mine. Pretty straight forward since i am still under warranty. the "genius" guy just took it in and ran whatever diagnostic on it and then came back with replacement buds.
While I was at the Apple Store I did notice quite a lot of people there with issues with their APP. Seemed to be approx. 6 others during the 45 minutes i was there. 1 other person with regular airpods and i overheard they were denied replacement because they couldnt replicate their issue.

The sapphire "glass" or crystal on the nicer Apple watches is legit. I've been wearing the aluminum model for 4-5 years now, and they just had a glass screen that supposedly is harder to crack but easier to scratch, and those models would get minor scratches on the screen from normal daily wear. Last year decided to upgrade to the Stainless steel Series 7 because I felt the watch had matured and that going forward there wouldn't be big improvements between generations, look at series 8 it only has a couple of minor improvements, so I spent extra on the Stainless model because I planned to keep it for a long time.
Well it's been about a year now and the sapphire crystal has no scratches on it, also they redesigned the screen to make it less crack resistant so it's kinda the best of both worlds. This watch literally looks as good as new, they say the stainless steel is more prone to scratches but I've been good there too. I'm probably going to keep this one for quite a while unless they come out with an impressive health improvement.
But new AirPods Pro should be here on Friday, that's a big upgrade and now I think they too have matured a lot and there isn't too much more you can add to them.
