This thing is wild. I saw clips of people watching an NBA game in one tab with a dashboard in another, X in another, and another Safari browser elsewhere. No slowdown in performance.

 

 

Its causing some weird slight burning on the top inside of my nose. Not the best feeling.

Supposedly the head band with the top strap is much better for comfort than the solo loop

 

I have to go hangout at the Apple store for an hour today so maybe I'll see if they can let me play with it, but I'd imagine there's a long line for a demo

I hooked a Magic Trackpad to it, works well.

Also, I found a old DLSR camera bag that fits the thing without being huge. I’m taking myself to Cancun next week and I’m going to watch movies on the plane with it.

There were some similar issues with Quest 2 back in the day. Some people's skin didn't like the foam, and others didn't like the latex. Are there other cushion options for the seal?

 

Not yet, but They may come out. I changed to the other headband per Stunna's suggestion so seeing how that does.

Im about to put the beta on, hope I dont brick this thing.

 

Beta didnt kill it. Seems ok. Now the magic trackpad / keyboard thats connected to the headset can control the Mac. Little laggy, but it works.

@Whiskers I'm not on the beta and am typing this from the AVP paired devices on the mac virtual display. it's not view only.

 

Oh you got one too!!! Nice! To be fair, I only tried the hand gestures I think before the beta. It's not perfect. Not all the Magic Trackpad gestures work

 

yes, i can't swipe between desktops using the AVP paired magic trackpad. annoying.

 

You would think they would put a good place to stick an airtag. I can use the holder with the headband but thats janky.

It has the option under iCloud settings but I dont see it anywhere under my devices under find my.

I watched Aquaman 2 on the plane with it Movie wasn't as bad as I heard it was but the experience was amazing. I'm in Cancun now taking all sorts of spacial videos.

There was a video going around the Internet last week of a guy stealing all the iphones on display in an Apple Store. They probably know they'll be locked and unusable very quickly but they still do it because they can be scrapped for parts or still sold to people who don't know any better.

Probably not much of a demand for either of those situations yet.

 

i think in most cases thefts from Apple stores are put into returns for items purchased from Amazon and Best Buy.

Saw the last poster and knew what the post would be.

Today is my return day D day and Im keeping it. I would have returned it if we reconciled but we are not. Why? This thing is not meant to be worn around others yet. Its actually perfect for someone who lives alone. Hell, I think if my wife and I did reconcile, the headset would cause another divorce. Im guessing the timing of this is the ghost of Steve Jobs making me spend some money.
