Wow, I absolutely hate the new itunes version. I'm uninstalling and reinstalling the previous version as we speak.

Well, I officially hate itunes now.

Anyone recommend a program where I can manage my music library just like itunes but more user friendly?

Well, my wife's iMac is having a meltdown. 3 year old iMac 27". Goes into white screen of death randomly. Boots into the white screen as well. Restarting by clearing the PRAM helps sometimes, but would still go into white screen of death soon after a successful restart.

Does it sound like a bad graphics card? If it is, I might be in luck because Apple has a recall on AMD Radeons.

The Apple Care on this iMac expired three months ago.

My '12 Mac Mini Server with an i7 was a great purchase. It's connected to our living room TV along with the PS3/PS4.

I was reading that it might not even be able to, you would either need dual displayport 1.2 ports, or the new 1.3 spec which isn't out yet. Too munch bandwidth needed to drive that many pixels.

If you really need it/could use it, then keep it. For me, I'd take the 50% profit.

What I'd try to do is buy another refurb (check every day and night). If you can snag another one, sell one of them.

And then rinse and repeat for a free mini?

The apple store here put it next to a non-retina. You can see the difference

You must've read the link I posted. Not even TB2 supports 5k. DP 1.3 came out last month so possibly the iMac is running that internally if not it's probably two DP 1.2s or some proprietary connection. TB3 is expected to come out next year should have that feature.

I'll wait until then, probably get a nice price drop too.

One day retina displays will be normal

Edit: figured it out, it's currently connected to my monitor via HDMI, that's what's causing the issue, the Mac thinks it's plugged into a TV not a monitor hence the wonky colors.

I have a miniDP to DP cable already on the way via Amazon so that should fix that.

Can't you just choose a different color profile? :/

I'm on a HDMIed mini right now... Works great.

I tried all of them and it didn't fix it. When using HDMI to HDMI, the mini outputs in YPbPr, which is a no go for a monitor.

What is your HDMIed mini connected to?

Hmmm well reading into it some more it could be an issue with just Dell monitors on OSX only.

Apparently with dell monitors, OSX thinks of them as a TV. So it outputs in YPbPr instead of RGB. That's why it's getting wonky colors and fuzzy text.

What's funny is people who run win 7/8 under bootcamp have correct color and no fuzziness.

Apparently it still does it even under miniDP to DP

Need to figure out how to force it to send an RGB signal.

And NO I'm not buying a new monitor.

(My DVI slot is already taken up by my PC)

I just needed to use mark up in mail...what a great feature. it prevented me from having to open photoshop, change, save as a new file, etc.

I just attached the photo, selected mark up...pointed out what I needed, and hit send. Awesome.
