MMMM I dont know if I like what Im reading about the 13" rMBP

my 2009 is a 2.53 processor

Sounds like these will be 2.5 and 2.9....straight from the current line up....Might not be a big enough bump in performance to justity spending the money.

Also saying the 13 will come standard with a 128 SSD. And that there aren't enough power gains to really support the retina.

In better news, quad core mini's!!!!

You had a core 2 duo. The new ones are ivy bridge i5/i7

Big bump in power even thou the clock speed is the same.
Also quad core over dual core.

Yes...but its all relative...for the size, weight reduction, speed, screen....its worth it if you do photo/art/film applications.

If you are dropping that much coin, why not just get the 15" retina.

The prices are just too close now.

They arent.

A fully loaded 15" is $3700

And after dropping down to a 13" for the last few years, the 15 feels too big and is less portable.

I REALLY love my 13"....and at some point I'd get a thnderbolt display for times where I feel I might need more real estate.
