It was ALWAYS rumored even prior to the 3 coming out. They called it the year of the ipad....so people always rumored a new gen in Oct.

"Earlier this year we announced the third generation iPad and today we replaced it with a fourth generation iPad, and added the iPad mini to the family."

http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/specs-retina/

1999 for 256SSD 2.5GHZ and 8GB ram.

So for 2.9GHZ, 768SSD, and 16GB RAM Im guessing at least 2500.

Which means I was right all along. nyah.

I wish the mini was a retina...but I guess that would really skew the resolution issue.

I think the point of two iPads this year was to get all their processors aligned. Now the flow in which things are developed, released, and issued down their product line will make a lot more sense.

Only 8 GB max? Ouch, plus its still would be $500 less then the 15 inch.

supposedly at googles event on monday, the 16gb nexus 7 may drop to $200. No clue if thats true.

But apple shitted on the nexus 7 at this event. But they should have axed the extra $29 and it would have been a much bigger difference. Plus $329 is just odd haha.

That new iMac is THIN!! I guess fusion drives is something that will come to MBP later. I guess they didnt wanna piss the world off by including other new tech in the MBP. And they can't put it in the 13" and not the 15". I think its just a way to bring down costs. Wonder if it actually works close to as well in real world testing.

If I had a ipad 3, i'd be a ltl mad about the ipad 4. The rumors i read was that it was jut a ltl refresh. I wonder when the next iOS comes out and some features will make it to the 4, but not the 3. That would be even more annoying.

Overall good event, i thought it was much better than the iphones. Now can't wait for Googles event!!

new iMac is nice. But by the looks of it, will be a pain to work on/upgrade... if it can be.

maxed out 13" rMBP for $3,200? Yikes!

yea dude its that 768SSD thats killing you. Go smaller SSD and just get an external? Or you may even have one already? Not like externals arent portable these days.

As much as I want a 13".....it would be better money spent to get a 15" with 2.6, 16GB, 768 for 3300.

$200 Kindle Fire HD....hmmmm....I don't see how the iPad mini puts a dent in the marketplace here.

Well when amazon sells below cost to make... Apple has the apps and that will get people to pay a little more for the mini. And anybody who buys a Fire will find out just how bad Amazon locks them down.
