So...my netflix on my apple TV has been glitchy as of late...constant stops long waits for starts. Figured it was my net.

I decided to try something...I used netflix on my PS3 right a heavy round of glitches on the ATV....no issue.

No clue why netflix on the apple tv is getting so sucky, everything else seems to work great (we use youtube every night with the boys and rent movies on occasion.)

Annoying. I still think the apple TV has best interface. PS3 is very busy...but I will admit, I like a feature they added, if you're watching a tv series it will autoplay the next episode.

Apple's airports seems to like channel 7. Try changing that.

Here is a question for you since you seem to know the ins/outs of the airport...I was playing around in settings and I saw a check tab to separately name the 5ghz....does this mean (since my station is dual mode n/g) that I can choose and maintain which computers default to the n portion and which peripherals default to the g? I always figured it was automatic anyway.

Netflix has been sucking on my ATV too.....

Hulu's been good but Netflix and sometimes Youtube like to load slow and not provide a big enough buffer

I'm wireless because I was getting really crappy performance on wired for some reason, though that may have been fixed with the last update. I don't have an open spot for my ATV anymore on my router so I'll never know

You can name them the same network name and they should auto to what they can handle. You can name them different and choose what goes to what. I have two networks one I put an N name next to and choose which device goes on what.

Strange, I've had zero issues with netflix on my apple tv, which I've been using daily, but the built in netflix app on my samsung tv was doing the same kind of thing, i.e. lagging, taking forever to start a movie, sometimes even getting the "temporarily unavailable" error messages. Luckily it was only temporary, after a few days it was back to normal.

Certain videos on youtube seem to take forever to load...and the history feature has completely stopped working...And my wife said it was the same way with the ATV at my in laws.

If you google it, apparently there are issues with netflix on apple TV....I'll bet you one guess who blames who when call each respective company.

I know I'm just impatient! My 2007 MBP has been shitting out on me lately.. so I'm looking for a new one asap. I think I'm going to go with the regular 15'' MBP.. retina is nice, but I can't justify the price.

mbp! I couldn't justify the price of the retina since I don't do any photo or video editing where I'd benefit from such high resolution and a lot of software out there isn't optimized for it yet, though I'm sure that will be happening quickly.

I got the low end 15'' - should be perfect for my needs. Was the default scroll direction always inverted? o.O I switched it because my older mbp was not like this.. lol

I like that feature too.
It's especially great when you got some kids watching some cartoon eps on the Netflix....they will continue to run for them.

hmm.. mom wasnt too fond (well more like didnt want to learn) of the magic trackpad so i put back her regular microsoft optical mouse.

now shes having problems with the mouse that every once in a while the mouse responds erratically. you can still click and move it, but its like the mouse cant track or something. only way to fix it is to unplug it and plug it back in.

maybe she might like the magic mouse?

or maybe ill just get a new cheapo new mouse for her

My mom didn't like the trackpad either. I tried to force it on her but I guess you can't teach an old mom new tricks.

My 2007 is driving me crazy as well. It's become pretty sluggish, the battery life is terrible, and it gets so damn hot!

Some folks posted this on another forum. Hopefully these other companies sue APPLE for ripping off ideas for the new IPod Nano

Not to mention all those design were derived from older apple products (ipod mini, older ipod nanos)

But he is serious...because he is a moron.

I know some of you here already have Retina MBPs..but have you seen how ridiculously small Windows on it? It's crazy! and i see the boot camp software already enlarges the windows interface 150%

Here is an example of the login menu (luckily it's not as bad once you log in):

What is this..? Windows---for ANTS?

@ the Zoolander reference.

Yeah Windows is a bitch to look at on the 15" screen. Thankfully I have a thunderbolt screen hooked up to it most of the time.

It's a bitch when I'm on the road though.

But Apple's lawsuit did involve Trade Dress, which the jury upheld.

The jury has also found against Samsung when it comes to Apple's contours on the back of the iPhone and its home screen GUI. The Galaxy Tab, was found not to have infringed upon Apple's iPad design patents. The bad news for Samsung continued however, as the jury decided that not only did it willfully infringe on five of the seven Apple patents, but also upheld their validity when it came to utility, design and trade dress.

Just saying....
