This is like an drug addict/alcoholic support meeting.

We've all been there, man. You are not alone.
Take it one moment at a time.

I believe in dom, he'll be back on the hockey drug come this offseason, when it's trade-o-rama!

Um, yeah I do. You forget the Hawks that traded away all their star players in the dark years because of Dollar Wirtz. You forget the days of awful drafting by former Leafs guy, Mike Smith, that nearly deep-sixed the Hawks.

The 90s and into the early parts of 2000 was almost all bitterness.

Be careful what they feed you in propaganda. You're seven years off from the B's record of 29 years and look how they wallowed into irrelevance between 1992 and 1996 but kept "the streak" alive.

That's funny Fibi, because when I lived in Detroit in the early 90's, they were the dead wings. I remember the one year they won 9 games all year

Looks like the Hawks and Wings switched places. Chicago stopped playing in the 2nd and 3rd in today's game much like what Detroit did in Game 1...

They have had long stints without the postseason.

In my neck of the woods we call that one a historic comeback.

Perception is relative. In both cases there was a collapse and a comeback.

Heartbreak? 2001 Yankees. Plus now I live in Phoenix and get to listen to DBack Yankee haters that cannot explain why they hate the team they beat for their lone win.

back on topic, hooray for early games in the east & being on pacific time. Is it 9am yet???

22yrs consecutive years in the post season, six finals and four cups, now that's some good propaganda!

I guess Hockeytown will worry about sliding into "irrelevance" when it actually happens.

Dude, you might want to google the dead wing era again, you're off by at least a decade.

B's won cups in the beginning of their streak too. All I'm saying is making it to the playoffs is something Toronto fans should be excited about. Detroit shouldn't be happy with anything less than conference finals.

In the B's 22 consecutive year thy lost in the cup finals, they made quicker an quicker exits every ear after that.

When management starts making a deal about playoff appearances they are putting your focus on the wrong thing. Detroit should be expecting to contend for cups, not just having a ticket to the dance.

Tory Krug, he's too small to play defense in the NHL. Good thing Peter Chiarelli makes bad decisions.

Bruins V Rags: Bruins Getting things done.

Wings V Hakws: We've got a series, and it's not even at the Joe yet ( but we all knew it would be )

Sharks V Kings: Perhaps in game 4 the refs will stay out of the series and let the players determine the outcome (unlike games 2 & 3)

Sens V Pens: No sweep here, just like with the Isles. ...but we were told there would be sweeps Even Malkin laughed in the pic while Crosby cried. ....so confusing.

I for one never said anything about sweeps, the league wouldn't let such a high profile series go that short would they?

The Rangers were in this same situation in the last 5 series they have been in and they have won 4. They aren't happy unless they are behind.

I dunno...Terrible goal let in by the Pens with only 20ish seconds left to let Ottawa tie. Esp. with the Sens short-handed. Go figure.

It would've been 3-0 series lead. I doubt the Sens can win this series but the Pens should not have given them any life yesterday.

If I was a Chicago fan I'd be furious right now. Detroit gets endless timeouts with no repercussions from fans continuously throwing octopi on the ice. It's supposed to be one warning over the pa and them its a 2 minute bench minor. Chicago should have had at least 8 minutes of power play time that was incorrectly not assessed.

Guys are tired and committed an icing, throw an octopus to buy them some time. Terrible officiating, rules are rules.

The stupid octopus thing is the least of my concerns. Chicago needs to wake up...and also, they should start realizing that in the playoffs, you generally can get away with murder. So, unless they start doing the same, it's going to be Detroit moving on to the next round against the Kings.
