Sometimes I really hate being right

Unfortunately the B's were no match for Nigel Tufnels amps and couldn't go any farther than 10.

It's a 10 game streak, dude. Be happy your team went on that run and show no signs of a Cup hangover...

So, any thoughts on the elbow to the head Sid laid out on Foligno...?

A ten game streak that ended with them still getting a precious point from the shoot out loss. Not complaining, I'm very very happy with their play, I just had a bad feeling going in due to the 1:00 start and of course it has to be against a quality team.

Foligno was a douche all game, he kept running the goalie multiple times, and taking cheap shots every shift he was on the ice. A number of guys tried to get him to throw down but he wouldn't. I'm guessing that you only saw highlights, but you should have seen the shots he was trying to take at the back of Sid's head. Sid's trying to stand up for himself and defend himself, and I don't blame him

Yup...saw only the highlights and the tussle in the crease between Foligno and Crosby.

Oh well, I dunno...Given what he's gone through, I just thought he could've done other things to get the message across instead of an elbow to Foligno's head.

Tough call I think. Sid should be more concious about elbows to the head due to what he's been through but, if you have a guy who is trying to hurt people at some point you have to make the decision that if someone's going to get hurt it's either him or me.

He should have gone with his standard move of punching him in the zambonis from behind.

This is what it turned into, they actually called Alfredson to the pens bench during a TV timeout and told him that they needed to get Foligno under control. He kept jumping on our goalie and was obviously looking for trouble.

CAPITALS FIRE HEAD COACH BOUDREAU, NAME HUNTER REPLACEMENT

The struggling Washington Capitals have fired head coach Bruce Boudreau, and replaced him with Dale Hunter.

The 51-year-old Hunter will make his debut behind the Capitals bench on Tuesday.

More details to follow.

Easy 4 points for you this week. Leafs are always in a giving mood when it comes to the Bruins.

He does need to stop with the line tweaking though....but I would say give him this season. If this team doesn't advance far into the playoffs....he's gotta go!

And the power play remains horrible like it was last season

Kings have excellent talent....existing in an ancient coaching system that destroys any offense whatsoever.

Sure we can easily hold a high scoring team like the Hawks to just 2 goals, trouble is we can barely score more than 1 goal in this system.....with Kopitar, Richards, Gagne, Williams.....

Now the Murray is playing musical chairs with the lines yet again...tonight EVERYONE is on a new line....seriously....EVERYONE!!!

Desperation? Perhaps. Madness? You bet.

The coach that should have been fired last year is still hanging around wearing his suit of Teflon.

Mind blowing.

Hey Deano: AEG is gonna hand you your walking papers at the end of the season if you don't get smart and kick the coach to the curb. It's either him or the both of you at the end of the season. Think about it.

Gotta feel for Maurice, fired from the same team yet again. One of the few nice guys in Hockey. Hopefully he lands another gig soon.

Agreed. They had a good two games. Hopefully they can hang tough against the Penguins tomorrow.

Bought my tickets for the Coyote game 12/17. Hard to believe decent seats are over 300 bucks. Got second row behind the penalty box. 147 per plus handling fees put the two tickets over 360 :P

But, just as an FYI, the Hawks change up their lines regularly...game by game. Coach Q does that often...Sharp will go from lining up with Toews to Kane and Hossa will even go to line up with Bolland instead of Kane and Toews. Defense pairings shift too.

Frolik can go from 1st line to third...Carcillo goes from 1st or 2nd line down to 4th. I can keep going with examples...

So, don't know if changing lines is that big of an issue. Still, I agree your team is underperforming. A team that was the popular vote by the press and experts to be one of teams to beat sure has a popgun offense...and it was a fluke goal by Stoll.

Shifting around lines a bit is SOP. Bringing guys from your fourth line to play on your number one line as wingers is desperation. Sending guys from your number one line down to the fourth line is again....desperation.

There is a reason why some players are called TOP SIX and others not so much.

Murray can change the lines until the cows come home...but it won't change an outdated system that destroys offense.

Strange that this didn't end with Shanny's normal line for first time offenses, "going forward he will be classified as a repeat offender".

Ovechkin needs to start producing now or he just looks like a douchebag who cried and got his coach fired.

I believe that BB was the problem, I wouldn't be surprised if the craps get better, they can only improve from here, but they don't scare me, they've always choked in the playoffs

I'm not going to disagree with you on that one, but if he immediately responds to the coaching change, it will appear that the coach was the problem not him and the coaching change fixed it all.

Close, PacIoretty, I'm sure up in Habs country this is all Milan Lucic's fault. Shanny didn't suspend him and got some flack for it so now he had to come down hard on someone to show he's serious.

Seats are so crazy expensive at MSG! I usually go to the Prudential Center in NJ when they are playing the Devils....speaking of which I need to find tickets for 12/20!

I'm sure his play will improve if not for just having more motivation now. Like I posted a couple pages back, he was MF'ing BB behind his back on national television, there definitely was a disconnect there.

You need to get over this, yes something was wrong, but it happen in a game that happened to be on National TV. And I've seen many players upset with coaches and though I couldn't lip read, I know certain words were exchanged. It all about how sports are played. Hell I get to cuss out my boss once in awhile, it's how things work with us.
