No, yes, yes, Hunter will put a stick up their ass if they don't. Just a little peeved about the whole thing.

Unfortunately, I think McPhee said he's keeping the C.

Personally, I think the Caps will get better...Just take a look at the Blues with Hitch taking over. So, if anything, for the short-term, lookout for the Caps!

Boudreau like Keenan, Burns, Hitch and a few others are 3 year coaches. At about or just after 3 years they wear out their welcome and players stop listening.

No doubt Boudreau will end up somewhere else.

Whereas some others just keep on trekking (i.e. Trotz, Babcock)...Depends on the system and the culture of the team.

Problem I think with the Caps was that they went from a free-wheeling all-offense system into a defensive one...and well, it didn't go over well esp. with players like Semin, Ovechkin, and Backstrom...

I would not mind seeing what Boudreau could do with the Oilers though.

I think the bigger mistake in Washington was bringing Boudreau back this year. After last year's playoff's I thought it was obvious he wasn't taking this team any further. Now they've pretty much wasted a half season by the time the new coach gets settled.

They lost three starting D players right into the playoffs last year. Don't see it as waste they have plenty of time. Remember, Gabby came in same time, four years ago and righted the ship.

Congrats on 45K. Whore.

Well, I dunno...I would not say their season is lost. That line-up is too talented to not be able to go on a tear. There is no team truly running away with the conference yet this year. Besides, who knew given the start the Caps had initially that they would stink it up lately?

By all accounts, Boudreau was a players' type coach...And he simply lost that because he tried to get the team to be more structured defensively and etc. And sometimes, if a team is used to a guy a certain way, changing like that does not bode well.

I think he's a good coach.

Damn, didn't even notice the 45.

A full season is always better than a half. The certainly have enough time to turn it around, no question. But they should have have even more time IMO.

I certainly wouldn't want to play them come playoff time that's for sure.

He got them to play better D, and brought in players last year and this year for better D play. But a switch just got turned off. The games they have lost this year, just about everyone of them opponent scored five or more.

Well, at the clip your Leaves are going at...you'll draw 'em in the 1st round likely.

But, at least you guys get home ice.

I think the Caps will be fine.

They were my pick to represent the East earlier this year (and you guys all laughed at me).

Well, fine. You'll just be the 7th or 8th seed and still draw the Caps if the latter goes on a tear.

No home ice.

Well, to be fair, I'd say about 90% of my posts were spent in here arguing with you two nimrods about the need to have a name-brand goalie during the Hawks' Cup run.

So, I blame you and Waldorf for my post count.

I don't and won't.

My no-name-goalie team no longer has the longest drought in the NHL.

Now watch the other no-name goalie get them into the Finals too this year. Against the Caps.

He didn't have anything to do with Therrien being fired, nice try though. Maybe next time I'll use red text instead of implied sarcasm for my joke.

The month is over, the Bruins went 12-0-1. They missed out on 1 available point and they gave 3 points to other teams. Greedy and stingy and mean.
