Chris Cuthbert is also not bad for TSN and when he was announcing for CBC.
Bob Cole can no longer keep up with the game. He has no idea who a penalty is against and doesn't know why the whistle was blown half the time. He's lost more than a few steps and is now detrimental to my enjoyment of a game.

I like Cuthbert as well. But Hughson > * As long as he's not calling a Canucks game.

WOW! I'd venture to say that 80% of Kings fans have no idea about "this event" from game 6.

However you have your game six "event".....we have our McSorley illegal curved stick.

Deano's quote on Penner:

“Dustin is at the crossroads of his career,” Lombardi wrote in an email to Sporting News. “He can choose to use his athletic ability to either become a dominant power forward in the National Hockey League or be a dominant number four hitter for the El Cid Lounge in a men’s softball league — the choice is his.”
according to Yelp, is a bar in Ludlow, Mass., about a half-hour outside of Lombardi’s hometown of Holyoke.

Sorry, dude...Penner absolutely drove the Oiler brass nuts with his lazy and figure-skating play...I doubt he'll improve.

But, hey...weirder things have happened.

That Cup was ours that year. And of course Kings fans have no idea, they won the series.

- the same father that chased a Leafs fan from Kitchener up the street with an axe in the wee hours of the morning after the game in '93. The uninvited assailant drove away in haste after continually ramming into Dad's mini-motor home parked in the driveway of his Sarnia home. (Kitchener is close to a two-hour drive from Sarnia in Southern Ontario.) My mother has retired the referee whistle that hung on a skate lace by her telephone at the ready to blow into the phone whenever terribly obscene phone calls were received at their home.

One day perhaps we will meet again...this time in the new era, we will meet in the finals. It will indeed be "the end of the world as we know it"

Yumchah is one bitter SOB

Yumchah, just because the next greatest player ever, Derrick Rose missed a game tying free throw with only seconds left, doesn't mean he isn't a good player, just not great....

Moog, when the Leafs meet the Kings in the finals, lets also hope our kids are on opposing sides.

And just because 2 name brand goalies are going to the cup final this year, that doesn't mean you weren't part right last year. Just part wrong too. The bigger part.

Pfffft...Thomas and Louuu don't have their names on the Cup. No namebrand there. And we all know Louuuu will choke. Worse than Rose.

Nope.

WE HAVE 2!

So what if they're late round.

Side note, first playoff game since 1990 with zero penalty calls. I saw a couple of ticky tack things that McCreary would have called but nothing that really should have warranted a penalty in a game 7. Lots of discipline displayed by both teams.

Atlanta to Winterpeg press conference at 12.

Only 600K people in Winnipeg. Can this work in the long term? If the Canadian $ hits the 70 cent mark again good luck to them.

Rumor is they won't be called the Jets. Not sure who's bright idea that was but I'm guessing they're concerned about jersey sales.

Similar city to Edmonton...So, if the Oilers can pull it off, the Jethrashers can too, I think.

Still surprised Atlanta's franchise died...again...and yet, Phoenix's lives on.

Glendale was willing to dish out the required 50 million (25 last year, 25 upcoming) to cover the losses. Atlanta wasn't. Its that simple. Although it does seem like the NHL let Atlanta go without a fight.

David Thompson owns True North. Not only is he now by far the richest owner in any of the 4 major NA sports leagues but one of the richest owners in sports period. Rumor has it he was promised a second Toronto team down the road but had to take Winterpeg first.

But then why not just spend the 1.5 billion required to buy MLSE. They're for sale.
