at Turco's mask....umm yea...That would look great if you signed with the Devils

A far cry from Eddie the Eagle's mask.

He's always had gargoyles if I remember correctly. This is no different...Just interesting in Hawks colors.

I think Turco was a great pick up by the Hawks. At worst he give you great regular season goal tending. Should have no problem winning the Presidents trophy.

But as Mr Pheonuf pointed out, the Cup is coming home in 2011, so it doesn't matter what anyone else does.

^^ Never disagree with "sloppy seconds".

I'll phone the Kings and tell them to take out their golf clubs early....no point in playing this season.

The most Hawk-centric mask of late would be Huet's with the Indian feathers. I think Niemi's was an owl...?

Although, I think the best Hawk mask all-time would be Belfour's for sure.

Speaking of masks, seriously...WTF is with Luongo's? I still don't get his mask art. I think it is hideous...probably the worst in the League.

All of the above is exacty correct. I still wish the Blackhawks had signed Niemi....

^ Yeah, it's tough to see Nemo in a Sharks uniform.

But, on paper, Turco seems to be a good signing especially for the amount. As well, he's the best puck-handling goalie since Belfour. With a defense that is as quick as Chicago's, Turco will be a huge asset.

His playoff demons aside...we may have something. Then again, I doubt that's the biggest problem for the Hawks this year. It's the now new 3rd and 4th lines. We need those to gel.

Yummy, I sure hope you're right....I think Marty is old and past his prime. He's so acrobatic-he reminds me of Cujo.

I agree with the stick handling part as well. I'll be open to the Turco possibilities, but he'll have to prove to me he's worthy.

Well, at least Chicago's only missing Sopes on defense...so, at least there is continuity there.

Aside from The Rat on the 3rd line, who lines up there? And who anchors the 4th line...? Pisani, Bickell, Stalberg, Makarov, Skille...? Again, decent on paper, but how good are they in making up for Buff, Eager, Ladd (IMO the biggest loss), Fraser/Burish, and Madden...?

Yep...some of the kids are REALLY going to have to step up here this year. I'm telling you right now-missing Byfuglien is going to be a HUGE loss-I just know it. Madden is tough to replace. The Blackhawks need a "mucker in the corners" type player-Eager and Burish are gone...there is no one to dig in the trenches.

NHL, here I come! I think the Oilers and Leafs are willing to sign anyone...I'll be a shoo-in for 2nd line center on those teams.

Gotta be realistic. No way I'm punting out stars like...hey, who are those teams' #1 centers...?

He's a wildcard...but, from all articles I read, he seems to be needing at least another year in the farm.

If he can get his act together...wow. Hawks would have another gem -- a nutcase who drives the opponents batty and who can also score.
