Honestly I dont make time to really follow any sports at this point, but I do enjoy catching a good game especially if its the Giants or the Rangers...but players/stats, etc, couldnt tell you. I leave that to my pops.
I did used to follow the Rangers back in the days of Capt Marvelous.
Also, Hockey is the one pro sport I still hadnt seen live...so what better place to experience my first game than the Joe...it was awesome and I want to go again.

If I'm not mistaken, they have the Pens rated 13th or something like that...which I think is ridiculous given their line-up. So, I'm really too hyped about where they'd be slotting my team.

To think that the Kings did hardly anything in the offseason as far as offense goes....and yet magically get ranked a top 5 team.....after 1 round and out playoffs last year........ummmmmmmmmm.......yea, I do care actually.

^ I know. I was kidding that I'm sure he'll be available and coveted by your team...

Speaking of available and Rangers, Redden gets buried in the minors...ouch.

...and Cheechoo is done with the NHL.....note to self: protect your groin...you will never be the same when you tear it up!

So, any early fearless forecasts for Cup finalists?

Philly looks good out of the East...if that team can stay healthy. Although, Washington is going to contend. Pens will be Pens...they look solid.
Again, it's all on paper...look at what the Habs did last year.
West...harder to gauge. The Meh Things look good even if they didn't do much. Canucks look improved. Hawks can still contend. Sharks will rack up points only to choke. And Blues, I think will surprise everyone...

Blackhawks fans boo Chris Chelios Heritage Night announcement
http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puc...urn=nhl-272669
When he (finally) announced his retirement this summer at a press conference, Chris Chelios(notes) put over the Detroit Red Wings and the Ilitch family for "bringing me here, making me feel like part of the community." He retired in Detroit, with Red Wings logos behind him; then he went to work with the Wings front office as special advisor.
In other words: The only way Chris Chelios could be more of a Red Wing these days is if he had a Winged Wheel tattooed on his forehead and twirled an octopus with Ted Lindsay.
What he isn't these days: Synonymous with the Chicago Blackhawks, as the fans loudly reaffirmed during the Red Wings' game at Chicago on Saturday night when "Chris Chelios Heritage Night" was announced for Dec. 17.
According to Chris Boden of CSNChicago.com and Puck Buddy Matt F., who was at the game, there was "an overwhelming amount of booing" from the Chicago Blackhawks faithful when the announcement was made.
Chelios played parts of nine seasons for the Blackhawks and parts of 10 seasons with the Red Wings, with whom he won two Stanley Cups. He was born in Chicago, and tried to prolong his career with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
But the battle lines are firmly drawn in this blood feud between the 'Hawks and Wings. You think Tomas Kopecky(notes) would get smacked around by fans had be arrived from the Senators?
Yet we recall another former Blackhawks/Red Wings great who was honored in Chicago and received warmly: The late Bob Probert, who had his own Heritage Night in 2009. We asked our resident Blackhawks fan Kevin Kaduk of Big League Stew about the reaction Chelios Night received in comparison to Probert.
"We've always seemed willing to share Probert with the Red Wings, probably because we had no other choice. With Chelios, he was one of ours, a hometown boy that we lost to Michigan. We don't feel like we should have to share him."
It also helps that Probert pledged his allegiance to the Blackhawks; hard to imagine Chelios doing the same, considering who's signing his checks these days.
The Red Wings will be in town on Dec. 17 for Chelios Night. The first 10,000 fans who enter the building will receive special Heritage Night hats. Might we suggest to the Blackhawks that they hand out vouchers before the game and hats after it? Because this could get messy.

I always liked Cheli.
Not so much as a Wing...but, now that he's done with that ugly jersey, he's fine in my books.

Let's put it this way, if the Kings organization ever decided to have a Rob Blake heritage night, my guess is Staples would burn to the ground.
