And the Pink Things are the NHL's best team. Even if they are not 1st in the Central.

^ Are you as excited as I am for Friday's matchup? Best in the west vs best in the east. And a little birdie told me Crosby might actually play.

Of course I'm excited, and I'll be there

I've been hearing the rumor for months, I won't celebrate until I see him on the ice.

Welcome to NHL 2011.

When the redline was "removed" the result was the death of the forecheck.
Everyone now stands 3-4 players in the neutral zone.

Crosby won't play Friday or Saturday for Penguins

Sidney Crosby has needed rest, rehabilitation, weekly doctors' visits and lots of on-ice time while recovering from the concussion that put him out of action more than 10 months ago.

Add in plenty of patience -- now more than ever.

Crosby went through another full-scale, full-speed practice Thursday -- one so good that teammate Steve Sullivan said he can’t tell Crosby ever was hurt -- but Crosby was ruled out of the Pittsburgh Penguins' games Friday against Dallas (7 p.m., NHLN-US) and Saturday at Carolina.

Coach Dan Bylsma wouldn't hint about a possible return date, but he insisted the Penguins aren't being clandestine and will disclose when Crosby has been cleared to play.

That will occur, he said, "sometime down the road," and only after Crosby's doctors are certain that a player who was dominating the NHL at this time a year ago is 100-percent ready.

^^ I bet it will be longer.....and it should be.....Crosby should take all the time he needs....no rush. The league needs him more than the Pens.

You clog the neutral zone.....we will sit and wait for the passing lanes to open up.

IMO, Philly should have been able to sit there all night long with the puck. They had possession, they weren't laying on the puck to keep Tampa away from it, Tampa made no attempt to go get the puck so Philly just said, "hey, it's not our fans who are getting pissed off here, come get us." It's only a delay of game if Tampa makes an attempt to get the puck and Philly does something illegal to keep it from them. Tampa showed no interest in getting the puck, I see no delay of game.

72.1 Refusing or Abstaining from Playing the Puck - The purpose of this section is to enforce continuous action and both Referees and Linesmen should interpret and apply the rule to produce this result.
Both teams should have been penalized. Flyers are the bigger pussies IMO for having the puck and not attacking.

They were trying to make a point. Its not as if it went on all night. They were just calling Tampa out on the trap for a couple of plays.

I'm shocked we haven't seen that type of protest before.

Its too bad a team with 3 of the leagues best players has to resort to that

Blame the Count and his rule change.

Maybe I'm not remembering the timeline correctly, but I think we (the fans) complained much more about the trap before the removal of the redline.

They are always better on paper than on ice. Unfortunately, the game is not played on paper.

:P

I do not remember the last time they won 6 in a row or scored 4x in the 3rd.
