I think he's pissed at how the chocolate bar commercials are turning out so he's taking it out on the coach.

Just kidding.

But, seriously...you're not excited? Your team's looking good and these aren't "fluke" wins either.

And how about them Oilers! They've taken over @ #1 over in the West. Hope my Hawks can keep up!

Stop pretending the people of Toronto aren't illiterate, it's "Leafs," they don't know or care that it's not really a word.

Stars 2nd overall behind Pitt and played 2 less games.

And every week Matthew Barnaby says they are pretenders. We will see. We just crushed Carolina in our first game of our eastern road trip. There might just be something special about this team...

If it makes you feel any better, my Hawks played a stinker against the Canucks last night and got slapped up and down the ice to the tune of 6-2.

His explanation makes some sense....

Gives room for Loktionov and frees up a lot of cap space for the Kings who get rid of a struggling Penner who doesn't seem to fit on their team. Only on a 1 year contract and Edmonton has a lot of cap space, worth the risk to see if Penner can pick up his game playing with Horcoff and Smyth in a city where he's had success before.

Pffft...you should feel good to see the Leafs draft pick, Seguin, scoring a hat trick. If anything, you should feel some pride there.

And losing to the Cup Champs is nothing to be ashamed about. Losing to the runner-ups...worse.

...ESPECIALLY worse when losing to a brand-name goalie with one of the worst GAA and save percentages.

Lou looked like a Vezina candidate last night against my Hawks.

So why is Penner the least productive player on the Kings roster?

Mix an out of shape player, with some laziness, then add a coaching system that demands defensive responsibility, and you get a fish out of water.

Penner is a decent to sorta good player at best. In the Kings system, he is one of the worst.

Having Penner on your team is an insult to the rest of the squad and the prospects who work their tails off in the minors.

I've seen the guy play enough...I was supremely shocked (and even said so) when the Kings traded for him and even more shocked at what the Oilers got back.

Anyhow, your team's problems. Lombardi certainly tried to add some scoring punch at the time but, c'mon...really? Of all the choices, Penner?

Point is that Penner can & will be better in a different system.

It was a roll of the dice on Penner.

I'd make a bet that if Terry Murray gets the axe, and a new more free wheeling system comes into play, Penner would be quite different.

You think Murray will get the chop this season or in the off-season...?

I would have like to have seen him gone midway through last season....IMHO.

Will he be done this season? I think for sure if they don't get into and or out of the 2nd round.

It's still early on, but the lack of 5 on 5 scoring is still troubling the team.
Kings are excellent defensively....all around....5 on 5, or on the PK.

PP has improved greatly this year, but the goals for stat is horrible.

Terry Murray (IMHO) is a great coach, but the way the game is played in the "new" NHL.......it has passed him by.

I give him huge credit for establishing a defensive system when the team had limited talent.....but now with the depth and talent on this roster he has become a ball and chain. He is limiting the team's potential.

Shocking News. Tim Connoly is injured. He'll be out 2 weeks. Even more shocking is the injury is not related to the injury he was suffering through earlier this season.

In other news the sky is blue and trees are green.
