Great atmosphere at the home opener last night, definitely hurt seeing 71 and 87 standing 3 feet from the ice in suits, and Orpik as well. can't wait to have a full team again

I've already seen videos of Mike K the strength coach knocking him around, also heard that him and Dustin Jeffrey have been knocking each other around quite a bit in practice. It's not a giant worry. I worry about the first person on another team that targets his head

Anyone else read the column about Crosby and his recovery in one of the latest SI's?
Sounds like one of his therapists/doctor's (if you can call him that) isn't very well respected in the medical community. Whatever works I guess.

I wouldn't condemn Asham entirely for that move. He just finished a fight and emotions will be running high, he may not have realized how damaged Beagle was and he did give the traditional "stick tap" when Beagle got up.

It was clearly a hit to the head, and an attempt to clearly injure the other player. Shanny should ban him for 27 games.

It's a fight what do you expect. I doubt Asham will get a fine for a straight up fight, now if we took off his skate and tried to decapitate Jay then that's a whole different story. But anyways go CAPS this is your year!

It's not the fight that is the issue. People have been banned in the past for making gestures like a throat slash or the ever popular "blow me" gesture. If there is any discipline, it won't be because of the fight.
