I love the ZDXesque rear flanks on the ILX. Notice that they've created some separation between the shield grill element and the outer frame, looks like it's moving towards the middle of the grill opening where it started life.

Production vehicle needs better wheels.

Acura please stop designing your wheels in house.

All three are great looking! Hopefully the new NSX will stay in the five figure range, I'd be interested...

Looks great! Can't wait to see how this bad boy handles...

What a disappointment that the real thing is still 3 years out... I was hoping it would be a 2014 model that would launch summer/fall 2013...

Better start saving for it like 4 years ago, scared to see the price tag but I love how it looks at this point.

I was really expecting the RL to debut in addition to the NSX unveil.

Where's Acura's Flagship fighter to the 7-series, A8, LS, and S-class?

Why you were expecting the RL in Detroit?? The RL will debut in NY 2012.

BTW, what is it with silver cars on a white background? They look so bland and washed out.

Not sure why, but that rear end looks very Chevy (GM?) like Can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the tail lights.

For some strange reason Acura has loved silver/gray concept colors for quite some time. I don't get it either.

Thanks. I figure the RL would be up for a redesign by now, considering the slow sales. Hope it fits the mold.

The RL IS up for a redesign.

Based on what I see in today's reveal, my mind is eased about the next RL's styling.

I guess the ZDX was actually a styling exercise for Acura's future releases? Very apt description of the grille, BTW. It looks much better. I can deal with this.

Looks like I will be an Acura owner again at some point in the next couple of years.

Thanks! The real life shots look much better than the one on the Acura page.

I want to hear what it weighs. Also - glad they're doing mid-engine - was afraid they were doing front engine rwd.

But it sounds like with hybird mid-engine - it sounds like a supercar that can probably do like 40-50mpg on the highway. I'm really liking it, but thinking it's almost impossible to fall under 100k. My guess it's going to land in the 100-125k range.

I could hear a lot of people at the show claiming it looks like the R8, but I just don't see it. I love the R8 too. But I think they look quite different.

All-in-all i'm happy with the output for the detroit auto show. I feel like Acura is making strides towards bringing the brand back to where it shouldve been. Personally, I thought the brand was at its peak when they had the rsx, tsx, and tl operating in distinct segments

Old NSX is a bit taller, narrower, and longer. All within a few inches. New NSX has a longer wheelbase (again, only a bit).

why is the wheel design on the ILX so much better than the NSX, they should have swapped the design for both cars.

A pair of good videos... One is the intro of the NSX, the other is a clip of it from GT5...

This second video does a good job of showing the various boost and regenerative braking modes of the hybrid SH-AWD system. I can't wait to see how this thing will handle in reality. It should be amazing...
