Ok so the concept will have very small taillights, turnsignals, & reverse lights that will become large and plain jane on the final production version 
I was getting at the "overall" design being similar if not spot on to the Avengers car. Just add hardtop, and it will be done.
I'm still hoping it looks nothing like the Avengers car.
That car is nice, but nothing jaw dropping. It's a "tame" look.

should the new car not resemble the car that it succeeds? I think the original NSX body is timeless, which is why they were able to carry it for so long. This looks like a modern NSX with possibly a little more "soul". Hell all 911s look like the 911s of past, the new GTR resembles the old Skyline's. You were hoping for a new NSX that resembled the older one in no way?
DISCLAIMER: I may be eating these words when the actual car is debuted at the auto show in a few days LOL

I'm not against a design that has elements of the OG in it, but to evolve the design in a bland or muted way just to show resemblance to the OG....I want no part of that.
I have a feeling that it will look like the muted Avengers car...sadly.
I know why and understand why Acura is doing this because they got hammered with the 4G TL radical design and the ZDX radical design. They tried to go cutting edge and failed miserably, so they will go back to a muted/bland evolutionary design. I don't think it will be ugly, but it won't blow our minds.
Acura has no stomach for another risk design. This will be no LFA in terms of being "radical".

Ahhh now I see your point. I really think the Avengers car is a good looking car but yes nothing mind boggling or radical about it. I agree with you on this front that Acura/Honda should take more of a "leap" on the design of the NSX because frankly, if noone buys it, it wont necessarily hurt their sales. Certain people will buy it because its the NSX and thats all thats needed.
They def shouldn't have gone so polarizing with the 4G TL. Whoever has been designing these cars as of late for Acura, hell Honda too should be fired and banned from the business. I'm pretty sure I have drop
that looks better than some of the stuff they come up with.
I wouldn't be too bummed if the Avengers car was in fact the new NSX (I still remember seeing the NSX in pulp fiction like
) but a more radical design is definitely welcomed. 
Let's not get crazy and compare the legendary legacy of the 911 with that of the NSX.

jeff says on the front page that the orange rendering for the front atleast is pretty much spot on, but that the rear is off and is missing a few key elements like the flying buttresses, either way that orange rendering will likely be close to face of the final model
also keep in mind that we will be seeing a concept at detroit and not a production model so things will still have time to change / evolve
some cars get better / worse once they move to the production stage so we can only hope that they get a good headstart with a solid looking concept

Take what you can get. If it's the Stark-mobile then so be it. Styling-wise, it by far beats anything currently in Acura showrooms. 
I just hope it's not powered by something like a hybrid assist K24Z3 with CVT.
